Description

Ducks fan, I'd like your opinion. It seems to me like PLD could be a great fit in ANA. Here is why:
1) Kekelainen must trade it to USA if possible (for COVID reasons)
2) He might want to avoid intra-division trade
3) You dont have a prospect of that caliber at C, but tons of good prospect in general
4) You aren't stuck to the cap
5) PLD is still young, so he fits in your rebuilding process and the young gunz coming.

I could see a package involving some of your prospects, not-named Zegras or Drysdale.
I'm trying something here, but correct me if I'm way too under or too over.

Combating the prospect point we have Zegras who has the ceiling of a Franchise centre, which imo is higher than PLDs.

Yes we have the cap but im not sure if I would want to bring in a guy like him could be a bad influence on our young guys and prospects. PLD has put a real sour taste in my mouth with his antics.

Most I'd offer is Rakell and Steel if that doesnt get it done then oh well

I mean, if that was the price, I'd do it in a heartbeat, but I feel like Jarmo would want someone a bit more proven at the NHL. Steel has the type of upside that would need to be included, but I just don't think Jarmo goes for it. There's too many other teams that are likely looking to get him.

That's the main reason why I think that people who are thinking they'll get him without giving up a solid young NHLer/prospect are full of balogney.

I should have said, I assumed Zegras was a winger, but you are right he could also play C. Indeed, his upside is comparable to PLD, probably higher even. Having both together could be quite something.
