Description
Winnipeg trade: gavrikov= steady left side D, Kukan puck moving right d, bemstrom is a shooter, marchenko is a heck of a prospect and wouldn’t feel good to trade away because I think he’s going to be a stud. 1st round pick is customary to get a good player.

Trying to guess what it takes to get Laine without being too cheap, is this enough??

Kings are apparently looking for left side D hence nuti trade.

I don’t see the Calgary trade happening, not really sure but Friedman said cbj and cgy were talking?

Trade 1: Fair I guess
Trade 2: Neither team does that. Columbus cant afford to be spending that many assets since they are so thin already and Winnipeg can get a better return for one of the best goal scorers in the league.
Trade 3: Bad for Florida, they are trying to cut spending and Murray misses like 40 games a year on average, that's a lot of wasted money for them
Trade 4: That's not nearly enough for Monahan

Okay.

The hardest position to fill in the NHL is the #1C position because teams rarely trade them. Why would the Flames trade a low-end #1C for a goaltender who isn't a proven #1, when the goaltending market is possibly best it has ever been.... and a 25 year old borderline NHLer?

Look at it this way, in 3 years if someone suggested you trade Dubois for what Korpi is now, would you take the deal?

agreed with all this...I’ve always thought CBJ would have to retain on a Murray trade at this point anyway.

Also, they wouldn’t sign PLD to that kind of deal. 4 years allows him to walk into free agency. If you’re going to go for 4, you might as well go for 8, TBH.
