New Jersey gives away severson but gains 2 roster players in Benn and Virtanen as well as receiving a pick and prospect to make it worth it

Canucks clearly no longer have any use for Baertschi and Detroit really has no use for Pickard. Detroit can gain Baertschi at almost half retained for 1 season and see if he can be a top 9 option while not giving up a pick

It does not seem like the Canucks are too keen on keeping Stecher although he is a decent right handed option. Jankowski had a poor year in Calgary so I think considering Hamonic is a UFA, Stecher could be a replacement option for them while Canucks gain a guy who could play 3rd line centre for cheap

Buffalo had the 30th ranked pk last season. With this they upgrade their pk while gaining a prospect and a pick. Pretty much a lateral move salary wise.

With Tampa's cap struggles and Cirelli, Sergachev, and Cernak all being RFA's expecting big pay raises, I think they might have to move on from Cernak. In return they acquire Adam Gaudette who is a decent forward they could probably sign for cheap, Brogan Rafferty who is a right handed D who could maybe push for a spot on their right side along with Cal Foote, and a pick

Kings take Roussel and and a prospect for an ahl guy. Mostly to clear space for canucks, but kings gain a bottom 6 player and a prospect in return

This might work better than the Alzner for Eriksson deal. Eriksson slightly higher cap hit but Canucks take on 1 extra year of Abdelkader's deal to even it out.
