Flames likely decline fairly quickly. They obviously could use a goaltending upgrade, but Andersson very solid, just extended, and is 1 of 3 d-men signed for Calgary.

so let me ask, have you ever been to a game in Glendale? Its a freaking blast. there are some dedicated hockey fans down there that are just dying to watch hockey but their current barn is in such a ****ty area. Move their barn to downtown and watch the attendance sky rocket. They love their hockey but a lot of fans can't comment to a two hour drive from downtown.

Isn't it a 2hour drive from Tucson? I always thought GLendale was pretty much downtown Phoenix.
It isn't a coincidence that both Arizona and Ottawa have horrible attendance.
The league should have never allowed arenas to either a) be so far from urban areas or b) allowed owners to rent arenas. The NYI, Ottawa Sens and Yotes all suffer because of it.
Arizona's attendance needs to improve for sure

completely agree. I have no idea who's amazing idea it was to have their NHL teams 1-2 hours away from their downtown hubs.
