Panarin will probably be your only 10+ mil contract, but that will give you greater depth throughout and make you arguably better. I would seriously consider it if the wings won the lottery.

Yes, but at the same time, Ottawa is also in the midst of a rebuild themselves. Sure, Lafreniere would be nice. But considering we have no true #1 center (Possibility of Byfield) and our RW depth past Batherson and Brown is laughable (possibility of Raymond), we need the two picks rather the just the one. Even if Gerogiev is involved.

Oh yeah, the logic for Ottawa keeping the picks is identical to it being beneficial for New York to trade for them.
