Why is everyone trading Nylander

Pretty simple: the core of this team proved that they aren't winning s**t, and with the flat cap coming and all that money tied up in the core 4, one has to go, and the only 2 options are Marner or Nylander. Personally, I'd rather move Marner but it could very well be Nylander

yah, but i dont think u could move marner as easily b/c of his cap hit

Mostly brain damage....

I like Nylander and he proved his haters wrong this year with almost 40 goals and showing his contract wasn't a fluke. However his main asset to the team is goalscoring as he has no defense to his game. Leafs have an issue in the dzone and Nylander can help with that. Many teams would love to have him and the return would help the leafs.

While im not saying i want to trade him, his departure from the leafs and the addition of a top 4 RHD (ellis, etc) could benefit the leafs greatly.
