MTL get the 8OA and they could use the pick to draft a player like Holtz or Perfetti (if they are still available) or use it to climb up the draft. They also get Tage Thompson, a young player that could get a role on the team next season.

Buffalo get an amazing player to play C on the second line to play behind Eichel. They also get two more picks.

MTL gets a LD to pair with Weber and a solid backup for Carey Price.

STL gets a low third round pick, Victor Mete who is a solid 2nd or 3rd pairing LD, Charlie Lindgren who could be a cheap replacement for Allen and Jacob Olofsson who is a B- propect

OK, I would do this trade only if MTL won the lottery and selected Lafrenière. (yes, it's a big IF). If MTL gets Lafrenière, he would play on the first line, Tatar would've been on the second line and Drouin on the third line. Drouin was amazing at the start of the 2019-20 season but he suffered an injury that saw him on the sidelines for 3-4 months. He wasn't as good when he returned from the injury but I still think that he a 2nd line player and I would rather have Drouin than Tatar bcuz Tatar is a pending UFA. Graves is a great player to have and the fact that he is the player with the best +/- proves it. He would play on the second pairing with Petry (we are trading Chiarot if this happens). We also get a good middle six player with J.T. Compher. We also get a late first round pick in 2021.

MB was in Colorado with his assistant-GM for a week so that's the reason why I think between MTL and COL could happen. COL gets an underrated LW in Tatar who put up 61 points in 68 games on an awful MTL team. They also get two additional picks.

MTL get an amazing C to play with Lafrenière on the first line.

Chiarot is a good LD and I think that SJS could really use a defensive defensemen like Chiarot. They also get a prospect that could be a 6th or 7th D. They also get a low first round pick and a second. I think this is a fair trade that could benefit MTL and SJS's future.
