I think the Kings trade is reasonable and something they would seriously consider.

I see this working. Kerfoot or Johnsson can be taken in the expansion. Whoever remains can be moved for picks.

Dubas can work on early extensions with both Lizotte and Roy

Yeah, the ED was one of the negatives in this scenario. Without any other trades, it basically guarantees that a good player will be taken (unless they make a deal with Seattle). Should it be Kerfoot or Johnsson, that would be really unfortunate because one of the benefits I had in mind was that they only trade Kapanen, whose value has been relatively unaffected which can't be said for Johnsson and Kerfoot. This would allow them a chance to rebound and with more cap certainty next offseason, they should be able to return better value for either of them.
