Nah Gaudreau is the better forward (not by a whole lot) and Hanifin's age and term swings it in Nashville's favour. Overall interesting offer, I would consider it

I think Ekholm is much better than Hanifin and even though hes older, its not like hes 35, hes still going to be an effective defenseman for a long time. I wouldn't say Gaudreau is better either, maybe better at getting points but Forsberg brings physicality and is a better goal scorer

I actually really like the Nashville-Calgary deal, though I think it could be straight up 2-for-2. It's a creative way to shake up 2 franchises that both get somewhat of a refreshed look. My only hesitation is that I think Gaudreau, if traded, ends up in Philly or Pittsburgh. As a side note, I do wonder if Gaudreau is enough of a team player to buy into the team-oriented and more defensive-minded system that Nashville plays.
