That center depth is a big yikes. Calgary declines too, you would have to offer a top 2 pick for them to consider moving Matthew

I’m interested to see what gets said about the flames trade.... I doubt flames do it because of how much he’s loved there by fans and team but the value on that trade in my opinion is overpaying the flames

The NSH trade is likely an "any team" kind of trade -- but NSH is not interested in another costly, older center with no retention. And I doubt NSH is the only team looking at that offer and thinking "nope".

I’d consider offering a 3rd from oilers if half salary is retained.
