Don't think Van would be willing to surrender a 1st for Loui so instead they opt to surrender a 2nd and solid winger...Wings need more RH desperately so think this is a win-win. That top 9 looks really strong and with Helm/Luke/Fil falling off next year, there is plenty of cap space and room for guys like Berggren and/or Mastrio to make the roster

Canucks don't want to give up Virtanen. He's shown well this year and stepped up when given an opportunity on the top line.

If the price for moving Eriksson is too high we can eat his contract for one more year and then move him when it's about to expire, which would be cheaper.

Instead of virtanen van has to give up one of demko or dipietro and then it's good to go, although I'd take virtanen if they wanted us to eat more cap like Sutter
