you can still trade after the deadline, but that player wont be able to play in the playoffs. Not sure how the wording is in the CBA regarding the play-in round so WPG could maybe get the league to let him play against CGY in the play-in round

Columbus has 2 advantages coaching and defense

torts will be a deciding factor but if the leafs get under his skin he may cost columbus a game
columbus has a strong defensive core and this could help them in frustrating the leafs

Leafs have Goaltending and Offensive Advantage

sure freddie had an off season but he has playoff experience which is important in a goaltender as playoff hockey is different than the regular season
Columbus is gonna have to work its ass off shutting down the tavares and matthews lines who helped the leafs reach 3rd in GF falling only behind the capitals and lightning.
if we go to advanced statistics leafs also have a 70% winrate against columbus and this includes when they had Panarin and Bobrosky in the lineup

I will give columbus credit they will probs fight hard but its probs gonna be 3-2 leafs
