Why not keep Dermott and not sign Tanev? Dermott is much better-long term imo. If you want to balance the CBJ trade out then get rid of Anderson and the 2nd. We have Korshkov, Robertson, and Malgin all up and coming we don't need more defense. Also, sign anyone but Clifford. If we resign Clifford our 2nd next year becomes a 3rd. Not worth it. Just sign Perry or Nosen or some other gritty vet. Patrick Maroon?

Columbus has no interest in that trade... we have no need for middle 6 wings or a LHD... we have plenty of them already. This trade doesn’t make Columbus any better then they already are.

Tanev is not signing for that cheap. CBJ have no reason to make that trade also they are looking for a top 6 center to play behind Dubois.

Shuffle the deck is moving the money around to see what you can get. If you add a guy like Bennett, then you don;t need Clifford. You are right, point is that likely need to fill out bottom of line-up with a league minimum type deal...
