Yes, that's why I was curious. Someone (I don't remember who), also mentioned a while back that they had a prospect who was getting close to ready so I thought maybe there would be some willingness there if they wanted to address another need. Oh well.

Maybe referring to Annunen? But I dont think hes ready yet. Hes probably 2 years away from joining the team in a backup role and then we will see from there. It actually works out quite nicely with the term on Grubauer and Francouz's contracts.

Hasnt Andersen been solid though? Hes on a pretty friendly deal for the quality of goaltending that you get

I'm not sure who it was, it was quite a while ago. May have been shaky information and the guy was just a little too high on whoever he was referring to but as I don't have outstanding knowledge of the Avs goaltending pipeline, I just took their word for it.

Andersen has been really solid and consistent and the idea of letting him go sucks because I really believe when he is at the top of his game, he's one of the best goalies in the league. I just don't see the Leafs keeping him past next year. He had an off year this year and the way I see it there are only a couple of scenarios from here. Either he rebounds and asks for a contract that just wouldn't be smart to hand out to a 32 year old who plays the most fickle position in the league, or he has another off year and then you want to upgrade. I just don't see it.
