Description

I see a-lot of Manson trades and the arguments that come with them. Hell I'm in those arguments. That said, I want to state the value that comes with those trades are typically correct when it considers player capability. However, rarely do fanbases account for other team needs and the term of certain contracts. We don't need more mid six guys or mid round draft picks. I could foresee that type of trade happening in the 21-22 season at the deadline. But for right now it will require a-lot more than you are willing to give up. Imo your better off getting a 5/6 pairing rd in FA to fill this hole. Thats what happens when you have 30ish mill in 4 forwards.

Note* I do not find these trade probable but you guys(leafs) are in a hole and your are not gonna get an favor of trade by dumping us some interchangeable players for a guy who's crucial in our line up. Plus RD as stated so many times before is a position we lack depth in and value immensely.

and? these conversations are ongoing between every fan base. Leafs fans are constantly bombarded with crap offers for their own players all the time, like take a look at any Mitch Marner thread, it's ridiculous. and yet every week or so there is another post similar to this one where some fan of another team tries to keep it real about their own player value or team needs. You may not be trying to be a dick, but it's impossible that you've been around here (or any other part of the internet) and think this is just a Leaf fans for Manson thing.

This has gone on for a few years, the any RHD is going to be a miracle saviour for the Leafs. Fact is Manson is now just an average to good NHLer....hardly a difference maker in the next two years.
The trade proposed... Leafs would be 10 times better keeping Liljegren, their picks, and then they would have 3,2 to acquire another player likely a Dman. Leaf like so many other teams who are close to the cap really can't afford to make a trade without equally cap coming and going.
