Why would Buffalo take this deal?
Andersson has little to no value at this point
Strome is a product of Panarin. Of Strome's 41 ES points, Panarin has factored into 54% of them. At all strengths it goes up slightly to 55% of Strome's production. Strome also gets just under 20 minutes a night in New York. Would he get that same TOI in Buffalo?
Wall is a good young goalie but remains unsigned and could refuse to sign with the Sabres (making him a UFA). Buffalo already has UPL, who is considered one of the top 3 goalie prospects in the NHL.
Kravstov has top 6 upside, but is very much a boom or bust kind of prospect. High-end offensive dynamo, but question marks around his play away from the puck.
The 1st rounders are more than like late teen/early 20's, so not terrible, but nothing spectacular either.
Basically you're asking Buffalo to trade a 23yr old 80pt center and franchise player for a 35 points center and a ton of question marks.
