isles can afford to trade a RHD prospect with pulock, dobson, and mayfield on the right side.

They have 3.2 mil in cap space before JPG's raise. Greene frees up 5 mil but Barzal is going to take the Isles to the cleaners in arbitration if they don't sign him. The Isles need to move a contract and soon.

barzal doesn't have arbitration rights. Leddy will be traded this summer. They can afford to trade for rakell and his 3.7 AAV contract.

That trade is pretty tempting. I think I just might be able to resist, but if you had a 2020 first to dangle, I wouldn't.

File this away for the summer when the Montreal-NY trade goes through just like that, and you can chortle.
