Description
Weber has played 10 games paired up with Chiarot so far. In those 10 games he's got 11 points (6g 5a). In Weber's other 21 games played, he has 14 points (4g 10a), still not bad, but Weber still showing he can be an elite offensive beast when given a defensive partner. Perhaps it was playing with Mete all this time that made us believe his offense was on the decline...

Also...call up Poehling and / or Evans (Both with 6pts in last 5games). Plugs like Peca, Hudon, Barber (although he wasn't terrible against the Pens) should go back to Laval.

you bring up the plugs now if you're hoping to sell them off

Clubs have taken worse players from us for depth during their playoff run .

Chaput ,Froese , Jerebek , ext
We use them to gather picks and left over bottom 6 players like Weal or Martinsen based on a need short term.

Poehling's coming but only after we purge some dead weight as i highly doubt MB has the nuts to make a trade to make us a playoff contender . probably right around a month from now

I doubt he makes a trade at all that makes us a playoff contender. Probably pick up some depth, but that's it.

agreed

i was thinking another Chaput for Weal situation probably
but i see him just making moves for picks in the later rounds .

if Martinez wasnt injured its a different story as we scouted him hard with all top management attending minimum 1 game to view his play . He fit what we needed to with the bonus of being the 10th-12th best UFA blueliner available making him cheaper . i think MB might still trade for him yet as Martinez is week to week and might be available after christmas .

unless it comes cheap i doubt he sacks up

Martinez wouldn't be someone I would want to acquire, Either we give up futures for a guy we will have for 20 games, or we end up resigning a 32 YO to a longer term contract.

he'd only get a 3rd and Hudon at best
i'm ok with that but no higher .

we got a lot of prospects and no ECHL team
until Primeau came up there was Lindgren and Mcniven splitting games with him .

moving a Hudon , Vedejmo , juulsen or even a Allain helps reduce the size of the purge in the summer.
with all the picks we've had extra each year from 2017 to now have been piling up and with players leap frogging
ahead of projected timeline's its put MTL in an interesting spot both Contract wise but most importantly development wise with only 1 AHL team and no ECHL affiliate until 2022 at the earliest .(thats when Trois-Rivere's is expected to have their first season as per President of the ECHL.)

we need to move some of these guys anyways and we have a cluster of mid round picks so why not .
Romanov and Harris will be here soon but both have an adjustment period.
Romanov's great and i love him but he's a #4-5 D in the KHL and will likely need to ease in a #6-7 role
Martinez is ideal to help Fleury and Romanov giving them a veteran who can step in and play both LD and RD helping manage their minutes and keep them freash.

if we had to give up a 2nd and a prospect we plan on using i wouldnt but Hudons done
