Honestly you'd be lucky to get Hall on that contract, but whatever floats your boat man.

It isn't that bad of a deal, but I'd imagine NJ wants a roster player like Byron in the exchange, and cap wise that could work for MTL as well...

I think if he hits free agency he could get $11 over 7 but the guy has had 1 healthy season. Add in the fact that it would basically cut us off from signing any young guys if they happen to break out as major stars. With Weber, Price and Hall potentially taking up 28 million of the cap it would be tough to sign Domi, Kotkaniemi, and Suzuki, let alone Caufield who could walk in and put up 20 as a rookie.

Hall just isnt a player that works for MTL on a few levels. From everything that's been going around to I'm pretty sure free agency is what he wants anyways but just dont see how he would fit in MTL now or long term.

Fair points here. Regardless I can't see him signing anything less but what Panarin got, but maybe not with MTL...
