In all seriousness, this is a freakin joke that boqvist isn’t in the top six. Not in your projection thread hawksfan55. I’m just saying in general. Him not being in the top six has to mean six dmen are better than him. Does this team really have six dmen better than boqvist? I sure don’t think so. I do think development wise it was always in the plan to go to the ahl, but I do think his preseason performances have earned his spot. He’s ready, and sure he’s gonna make mistakes, but he can play with these guys. Just like jokiharju could before Colliton came around. Just my opinion.

Boqvist is more than ready offensively, but not at all defensively. Defensively, every one of our top 6 defenders are better (even Seabs, especially with his new partner Maatta). Better that he continue to hone his skills in the AHL where he can play 20+ minutes a night and be dominant. Hopefully he’s ready by the trade deadline so we can trade Gus.

I have no problem letting Boqvist develop in Rockford, no reason to rush him. Of course he can QB the PP now but would rather him get 28 mins a night in RFD. He's still just 19...

Kookoo has value in my opinion and wouldnt mind keeping him as our 7th DMan. If only EDM would swap PUJ for Kookoo and Perlini....

Holm to me has stood out in preseason and dont want to waive him and lose him for nothing.

With all the teams sending people through waivers right now, I doubt he gets picked up if we did waive him. He looks good, but I don't think they see him as being better than Koekkoek. Probably our first call up in case of injury.
