I'm thinking Sheahan will be given a PTO, so I didn't sign him.

The Connor trade was suggested on another thread I posted, the signing amount is based on Evolving Wild's estimate.

A lot of you think Puljujarvi is a bust and Kyrou a hot prospect, but are ignoring the fact that they are the same age. This trade is based on JP having a hot start to the season in Finland (3 points and +3 in 2 Champions League games so far). This is the sort of return I think is best - an NHL ready (or nearly) prospect and pick.

The idea behind the lines is to form 2 outscoring lines, an easy minutes 3rd line and a defensive 4th line.

Yeah that's way too much for STL, Champions League is no comparison. Pretty sure the rangers wanted Kyrou for Kreider and STL said no.

Kyrou has 16 nhl games.

JP has over 100.

That’s a huge difference. Age does not matter, one can’t hold an NHL job after being given multiple season. One hasn’t made a full debut yet/ been given multiple season. Let alone also adding a 2020 pick makes this trade way off

Kreider is a rental, not the same thing at all.

This was not this past season, this is when Kreider had term. 2017-2018 perhaps.

Puljujarvi is an established NHL 3rd-line forward, with plenty of potential to become a game-changing top-six forward, and Kyrou is two days older than JP and remains a prospect with 16-games of NHL experience and potential to become a very good NHL player. Regardless of any rumor about a trade involving Kreider for Kyrou, the facts are what they are.
