Sabres do not need a defensemen back in the trade unless he's an absolute stud (then why trade?). Not meaning for OP specifically, this should be on every Risto trade AGM.

The only trades I see happening DAL - BUF are either a painful Hintz -> Risto+ or Gurianov + (other B+ offensive prospect) -> Risto. That or a 1st+. Otherwise our assets/needs don't match up on a trade sheet.

For a team that will probably be drafting in the bottom 3rd of the draft a first is not unthinkable. First rounders have been given for lesser players at the deadline.
