MTL LHD Last year vs This Upcoming season

To me, it depends on how big a step Mete takes this season. I'd say Chiarot isn't really any better than Benn, Reilly kinda is what he is. Kulak was a nice surprise but can he keep it up (I think he can)? So Mete is really the wild card here

we did great

right now its just about making sure we dont keep Tatar and Petry to long that it stunts youth prospects like Suzuki and Brook .
if they were on any other team they'd be in the NHL last year but MTL had to many pieces added last year to let either stay despite being standouts at camp and pre-season they were sent down to have league leading Junior years . keeping them down 1 year in the AHL might not hurt but any longer in the Goons league and you're looking at Magnus Nygren level issues . (he was injured in the goons league and left MTL giving reports to European media about how he feared for his safety in MTL system before going on to become one of the top PP Defensive leaders in the SHL and NLA becoming their poster child for finishing your development in Europe where the players have more control over their lives and safety)

Chariots younger and has passion
Benn was good for what we paid but had no passion
watching him defend price in a fight was embarassing and sent the message we dont take protecting him serious

Chariot will not take any type of crap from other teams
Chariot still has potential and could elevate under Weber/Petry like Benn did
but Benn's coming off a career high at 31 before going home to play and retire
