Just swap Mahura with Hakanpaa maybe

Id split the rookies up too, and I'm not 100% Comtois would make it without a stint in SD but if he does put him in for Ritchie and put Ritchie on the 4th, and Fowler is playing right side if he's with a left D, I doubt all three of Guhle, Mahura and Larsson make it, I see one in SD and the other 2 playing 2 and 3 LD with Hakanpaa or Holzer playing 3-RD

Was Comtois's time with the Gulls in the playoffs not a stint? Not to mention he looked really good when started the year with the big club. Hell, I'm not convinced he wouldn't have spent the whole year with us if he hadn't get injured. To me the real question is whether he beats out Jones for that spot because I think it'll really come down to one or the other. If Jones can find the net rather than the post or the know of the goalie's stick than I think he might eek out Comtois for that spot. But I think they're both ready to take that next step.

As for the D, I don't think Mahura is going to see much action early if we're healthy. People seem to keep crapping on Del Zotto but for 700K and an assumed 5th/6th spot he'll be fine. And I feel like Guhle is definitely higher than Mahura on the depth chart. I'd be real surprised if Mahura hops over him by the beginning of the year. Hakanpaa is the realy wild card. We have no idea how his game is going to translate to this level.

100% it was, I didn't say it was impossible for him to make it, and I want him to. At the same time I don't want to rush him so if he needs more seasoning that's what I want. He got sent down last year in part so we don't need to protect him in the expansion. I feel like Comtois has the edge over Jones, I just went conservative with my lineup instead of putting Comtois in the NHL off the bat, If he does end up in SD I see him there maybe 10-15 games tops, just if he doesn't have a good camp/ preseason to let him get his feet under him. I can also see him making the roster out of camp however.

I'm one of the few that really liked the Del Zotto signing solid depth at 750k, nothing to be mad about imo. I feel like Guhle and Mahura are interchangable, and Larsson is above them imo. I'm very interested in Hakanpaa I hope he can add some stability to the right side

That's a really good point about the expansion draft. It'll actually be really interesting to see how much that will come into play with which youngsters make the team this year. Though I feel like Murph will have to do what he did last time and just make a deal rather than dealing with that mess again.
