I don't care what happened in the past. The kid exercised his right to play for someone else. The Hawks didn't like it when he took a **** in a stairwell. Hayes didn't like it when they wouldn't play his brother then traded him. The Hawks weren't wrong. But with that, you can understand why he'd exercise his right to sign with his hometown, and probably favorite team growing up. Their was a good chance of him signing after his junior year. He was injured and had extensive emergency surgery on his leg and his hockey career was questionable at best. 9 months later the Hawks traded his brother. I don't blame the kid.

If they get Hayes (hopefully not), AA will be gone and they will likely target a Nyquist or Dzingel.

Yes, he brother got traded, big deal, he s***ed, so he got traded. This is not a fraternity, this NHL. His brother got traded multiple times, cause he s****s.
