Unfortunately thats not even in the ballpark for point. If you chose to not include eichel or dahlin, it would be ristolainen, mittlestadt, our first this year and next year unprotected, and there would probably be a cap dump like callahan coming back this way. And honestly, i think that offer gets beat by somebody else who is desperate for a center. Thats just my 2 cents, but point is not going to be cheap if theres a market, its gonna hurt.

So getting Mitts on his ELC, & dumping Cally’s 5.8mil,
pretty much clears up their Cap concerns
It’ll save them about 13mil for next year
And long term it’s beneficial too
Bc even if Mitts blows up with them this year,
they could still sign him to a much cheaper deal than Point, since Mitts would only have the 1 good year under his belt

So it would really be...
Mitts + tons of Cap space + getting rid of Cally
for
Point
*if they wanted Risto too, i think they’d have to add at least 1 other good piece

I think they end up keeping Point
But they’d have to think long & hard if we offered Mitts

Point is a pretty good player, but suggesting that Eichel or Dahlin would even be in the conversation is foolish talk. Point did well this year in a big part because he played with the Art Ross trophy winner, not because he's a generational player in his own right.
