he is. only two years of service though, so no RFA rights really. I think its called a group 1 RFA. Anyway, it happens to guys out of college frequently. They sign, burn a year off their ELC, but don't play 10 regular season games, so it doesn't count towards a year of service. So, while typically a RFA coming off their ELC is eligible for an offer sheet, and if they sign in 4 years, they'll be a UFA, in a case like this they have no RFA rights, and need 5 more years to go UFA.
