A Modest Mock Buffalo

Buffalo was about the same in terms of goals for and goals against but they need another Center more than they need Scandella. This trade helps them as well.

Chicago was 30th in goals against per game. Scandella's had a decent career and eventhough he had a down season he could definately help them out with that. Plus the Blackhawks can't wait for all their D prospects who are years away, bring in a guy now who can help out then trade him at the deadline if need be.

Trouba signs a 7x7.5M deal to play on the top pair in Buffalo. Buffalo could really use this upgrade and Trouba is more suited for the top pair than Ristolainen imo.

Winnipeg saves 2M with a deal like this and gets back into the first round of the draft to acquire a useful prospect. Ristolainen also likely plays a lot better with less responsiblity of ice time. He's playing 24:30+ in Buffalo which is clearly too much but would slot in around 22 in Winnipeg which should help his level of play.

They use the 2.1M dollars difference to retain Tyler Myers and keep the Right side of their D a strength.
