I would agree to the Isles framework if it involved Granlund, but not Staal. Bellows would require something more than a mid-30s rental

I want nothing to do with Bellows. He doesn't fit anywhere in MN roster (now or the future), and I don't think he'll be more than a 3rd line grinder if he does make it to the NHL.

I don't think we'd get a lot of this in return for our players.

You might be able to get just Bellows for Staal, but not Bellows + the pick. Honestly I'd just try to get a 1st for Staal from NYI over Bellows he's been awful in the AHL even for a first year.

This MTL trade seems like a fair return, but Bergevin has stated publicly he doesn't want to give up future assets. I think MTL really likes Suzuki (as do I), but I have a hard time believing they'd trade him. Also, why trade Seeler? His contract is a steal and he has potential to be a top 4 D someday.

I think Philly might bite on that trade IF they consider themselves contenders, but I would ask for a 1st this year (Philly would probably want it top 10-15 protected). Kaprizov is coming after next season so prospects we get in this year's draft would be closer to being NHL-ready than prospects next year.

He's far from a grinder. Kid can score. It's his first season in the AHL pump the brakes lol.

I wasn't impressed with him in college or the USHL either. He has a shot, but I think he'll have a very hard time getting it off in the NHL. He was bigger/stronger than his peer group, but he'll just be average sized in the NHL and running over/through people won't be a real option.
