Agree with Orionus on the 1st two. Shaw will be able to get that much on the open market. Hawks can't keep him for that much though. Additionally, I don't think Fleischmann will get $1.5M anywhere.

Trouble with Shaw and his 3.75m approximate contract, it's tough for Chicago to get an NHL ready player in return, other wise that player is 3.75 m (assumed fair value trade).
So, I think the Hawks might have "settle" for guaranteed NHL players who are either in junior or AHL and will be on their ELC . Won't look good to Hawk fans, but maybe it's the only way. Might be same situation if the Ducks trade Freddie Andersen...maybe a prospect goalie in return and two prospect wingers.
