I think they would settle for zegras and 3rd overall. Just 2 pieces for eichel couple days before the draft
The Ducks could counter with:
1st round Pick 2021 Draft (#3)
Lukas Donstal
Josh Manson
Sam Steel
I do not think a trade between the Ducks and Sabres works very well for where the Ducks are in their rebuild or retool.</div></div>
I think sabres will settle on zegras and 3rd overall. Couple days before draft 2 pieces for Jack and move on

The guide to being a decent Buffalo fan:
Step 1: Accept the Buffalo sports media is awful and don't give them the time of day.
That's it! You've done it!

Who says no
I would say if you ask the average hockey fan they would say WPG says no just because of Laines goal scoring ability (which is extremely valuable no doubt).
On the other hand if you ask the analytical crowd they will tell you Buffalo says no because Reinhart does so many things well (think Bergeron extra lite). Reinhart probably will never score 40, but he'll score 20-30 per year on average and isn't a complete liability in his own end.

Who says no
I think this is a case where each fan base would probably go to bat for their guy and say their team would say no.
Laine can really fill it up, but is basically a liability everywhere else on the ice. Reinhart, just as OP says, is a more complete player, but he is also getting better every year in the league.
As a Sabres fan, I would hope Buffalo does not make this trade.

I actually think that Casey should be C2 with Sam as the winger and Johansson, will give him top 6 xperience which is needed and I think that he will be better this year

Interesting but i think Buffalo says no. Seabrook at almost 7 mill for the next 5 years is just too much especially with Eichel and Dahlin will be 10+, Reinhart at 7-8 mill and players like Mittelstadt, Montour and Saad at 5+

Opening Night Questions
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>wagsnags</b></div><div>Thank you for taking the time to post the team. I am a avid fan of the Sabres for the 50 years that they have been in existence (season ticket holder since 1989 I do not miss a game). That being said I am no expert in any aspect of the team or the game of hockey. My points are based on what I see and read...... here goes:
1. The biggest mistake that GMBots made last year was compounding the Berglund quitting by putting Casey in the #2C position. He was not ready physically or mentally. IMO mentally was the bigger issue and will be the albatross both Casey, management and fans will need to be patient waiting for him to develop that aspect of the game. New coach new system you can not put that on the KID again and allow him to fail. Casey NEEDS to be the #3C for the 19/20 season. Let others play that #2C position.... if you do what is right by the KID now the kid and the team will be rewarded handsomely;
2. If GMBots does not make any more deals I would see him keeping Hunwick on the team or in Rochester. Veteran presence is lacking;
3. If Risto is moved and to me that is a BIG if.... then GMBots will be need to get a top 6 forward in return..... it could be a LW though he is overloaded at the present time..... he would prefer a C or RW. I think Edmonton or Winnipeg are the best fits for a trading of Risto;
4. Olofsson should make the opening day roster unless there is an injury during camp. I actually think that GMBots will deal Girgensons or Larsson before the beginning of the season;
5. Sobotka will not be with the Sabres in 19/20. GMBots will either find a dance partner with other assets (Ottawa) to move him or he will be put on waivers and buried in Rochester. The only way Sobotka breaks camp on the roster is if Ralphie sees something that is salvageable;
6. Okposo can not be the teams #2RW if he is this will be a really long season. He is a 4th Line RW at this point and PP specialist;
7. I think Ralphie & GMBots will be forced to play Johansson at #2C because they lack one on their roster. If not he will be your #2RW;
8. Pilut will be on this team when healthy;
9. I think GMBots will also find a home for Scandella if he needs to shed the salary;
10. McCabe is a solid Dman but no way will GMBots pay him $3.25 per year for 4 years. I think you will see his contract be 2 years for $2,000,000 a year. He has been injured the last 2 seasons and he has virtually no leverage on that left side. I would not be shocked to see him in the deal with Risto;</div></div>
Thanks so much for helping me learn about your team. You may think that you're not an expert on your own team but I must tell you that I have seen the same opinions offered by informed people on almost all of the points you listed. I was aware that Pilut is currently injured, which is why I didn't show him on this roster. I agree with you that Botterill's primary job this year will be to remove the dead wood and/or find replacements to step up to replace those players moving down in the lineup (i.e., Okposo, Sheary, etc.). My primary conclusion about the Sabres is that you have an excellent first line but with the exception of Johansson (wherever he plays), you have only third- and fourth-line forwards otherwise. In short, unless Botterill does something with Ristolainen, it is hard to see how you can develop a viable second line with the current team. Again, thanks for the discussion!!

Not bad! I would have MoJo as second line center - he’s great at setting up shots - love to see him setup VO! Move CM to 3rd line with CS and ERod. Statistically CM is at his best with them. JL as your 4th line center.

BRAYDEN POINT - RISTOLAINEN and MITTELSTADT
No chance. Risto is about the only big movable player atm. Middlestadt is a second year player and Botts is all about development no chance he is touched within atleast this and next year, on an ELC. Point is the right player but not a price the Sabres would pay rn. As well point already said he has no intention of signing with anyone but Bolts

Return is not enough for Point, but I don’t think Buffalo does it.
I feel like they don’t really need him because they have Eichel, Cozens, Middlestadt, Rodrigues, and probably some other guy who I don’t know of. With that kind of depth, they don’t need another elite 1C. They’ve just gotta wait till their young centers develop into top 6 talents.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>wagsnags</b></div><div>Huge Sabres fan here.... I think the Sabres would have to add to make the deal fair.....
1. A mid round pick or a mid level prospect (Devante Stephens) comes to mind
2. Sabres retain $750,000 on Risto and thee Sabres add Larsson (RFA rights in the deal)
3. Instead of Johnson would TBL consider Cicerlli or Gourde;
Why do you think that TBL needs Risto?</div></div>
Well... this is awkward.

Asplund is too much to add to that trade. That Defense becomes super thin after moving McCabe, Borgen wouldnt leap frog Nelson but he'd beat out Hunwick
