That'll be a no from Chicago. I'd consider it for a 3rd, not 34th Overall

I don't love AA. Everytime I watch him it just feels like all he gives us in individual efforts. Everytime he gets the much he tries to bully his way to the net and gets stripped. Maybe i'm just wrong on this but the eye test tells me AA isn't a very good hockey player. I'd rather him just not be here but at that contract he has to be

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Hawksguy81</b></div><div>Yeah, this all seems feasible. This roster should meet the "being better" goal KD has. Feel like the Hawks are going to give Nazar a shot at being a C. So if they acquire JGP, could definitely see Nazar spending the season in Rockford playing C.</div></div>
I'd be cool trying nazar at C and just signing a UFA winger instead of JGP; ideally someone with a little more size to play on that line with Reichel and Nazar

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Hawksguy81</b></div><div>If the Hawks are replacing both Johnson's, Entwistle and Blackwell with Nazar, Slaggert, Dach and whoever, I'm not sure the team is that much better. To expect 3 or 4 rookies to perform at a level that improves your team by 8 or 10 wins seems pretty risky to me. Guess we'll see what happens.</div></div>
They're getting back Taylor Hall, another 2/3 of a season from AA lost to injury, and will add at least 1 maybe two forwards via trade or free agency. Plus Nazar and Slaggart, who are a lot better than the guys you mentioned needing replacing. This on top of progression from Bedard, Reichel, and the 4 young NHL D. This will be a team that finishes with a top 10, but not top 3 pick right in line with Kd's plan.

Just need to stay top 3. Celebrini, Demidov, Lindstrom. Beyond that I would not be as happy

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Hawksguy81</b></div><div>Based on Kyle's comments earlier today, it sure sounds like the Hawks are open to add multiple free agents. I don't think two or three forwards are out of the question. Check out Ben Pope's article. Good read.</div></div>
I don't know if I took his comments this way. He said "we can't finish bottom 3 again" but at the same time says don't expect to be competing for the playoffs. I think this team plus one or two guys and minus the dead weight was taking that step anyways.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>exo2769</b></div><div>He's looked good in his two games. I just want to make sure we have a good spot for him too. I don't want him out there as a 3rd/4th line grinder. He's got to get physical more mature for that and he'll get a top 6 role easy in Rockford. Let's just play to his strengths for a while.</div></div>
I don't see more than one forward being added so I think that we will have a spot. Too many younger guys looking for roster spots. I think we leave them open for guys like Nazar, Dach, Guttman, Anderson, slaggart to battle for. Bedard, kurashev, hall, reichel, foligno, dickinson, AA, donato will be locks. Maybe bring in one outside guy and let those 5 guys battle for the last 3 spots, with Entwistle and blackwell type guys taking the 4th line/extra forward roles

Obviously won't happen, but this would be so fun. The idea of trading up for Eisserman applies in general even if we miss Celebrini. Getting him plus Lindstrom or one of the D would still be a great haul

I'm fine with Debrusk, or any mid 6 forward in that range really. I think Stephenson gets more money froma. contender, probably won't be in our price range and that is okay. Nazar and EDM will get NHL time, maybe full time if they earn it but probably a split between both so they can fill up those games. Agree with signing a Vet RD, although I don't think we need Mete. I would just resign phillips. I agree that we should move on from Reece Johnson but I do still think Macker has a place here. I think Nazar can take the Stephenson spot and Kaiser/EDM can split NHL time next year. Overall I like more of the ideas here though. I wouldn't quite go as far as being .500 next year but I expect some natural improvement for sure. Love Demidov at 2, but hawks need to be bad enough to secure one last high lotto pick imo.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>YeahRighttt</b></div><div>Kyle Davidson has showed this far no willingness to switch gears from using picks to build through the draft. He of course will at some point , when he feels confident that he has his nucleus in place. Nothing against Tkachuk, but the Hawks are a lot further away from competing than what he can bring, so the timing is not right to pull the trigger on this type of trade right now.</div></div>
I think we switch gears summer of 2025. Team should naturally improve a little bit going into next year, but hawks need to secure one more high lotto pick. If we snag one of Celebrini, Demidov, or Lindstrom this June and then another top 5-7 pick next year I'll be very good about this core personally

I don't want to be guilty of being the delusional hawks fan who got too high on on one of his own guys after 2 NHL games, but man has Nazar looked awesome so far. Hawks second best player behind Bedard (I know that isn't a high bar), But the dud is noticeable on every shift.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Garak</b></div><div>Alright, so, most college players don't surpass a ppg, and most that do are either elite, riding the coattails of an elite player, or have really good chemistry with someone else and have been playing in college for 3+ years. While Brindley and McGroarty had all of last year to build chemistry, and played together almost exclusively this year (when healthy), Nazar put up just under a point per game mostly while running his own line being the sole chance creator with a rotating cast of linemates, coming off a major hip surgery and a whole year of lost development. Also, you could just watch him and the things he does, and how obvious it was that most of the other guys in Michigan just weren't on his level of IQ, vision, anticipation, and work ethic. Not to say that they weren't a pretty hard working team, but if you watch enough games you can see how often he would create these plays with no one there or ready to capitalize, or how often he would be in the most optimal positions and his teammates wouldn't even see him because they just weren't processing optimally or aware of their surroundings. He is an amazing skater, a great passer, playmaker, and shooter, dominates at the dot. And that is all just the offensive zone. On the defensive side, he takes responsibility and works hard in his own zone, he kills penalties, vocally dictates positioning on the ice, efficiently shuts down his marks, even those much bigger than him, isn't afraid to be physical and, for a small guy, is actually REALLY good at making and absorbing hits. Exudes confidence. And all of that has already shown in just his first two games in the NHL. The kid is gonna be a stud, an important part of the team, and a fan favorite, whether it is on the first, second, or third line.</div></div>
This guy you are responding too is a prime example of why you can't just look at point totals on elite prospects and call that a scouting report
