Those guys are maybe on the ball 1/1000 takes.

Its a team sport and the leafs game 5 and 6 are playing exponentially better than game 1 to second period of game 4. Matthews being out woke them up and has caused this teams other players to step up.
PP still sucks along with the inability to score more than 2 12/13 but the bandaid has covered it up. Will it hold for game 7 idk lets see cause IMO for this team to win this crucial game PP will need to get going and were gonna need at least 3 goals or more

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>oneX</b></div><div>Pretty much. What some of us are also failing to realize is how the team has played in front of Woll vs how they have played in front of Sammy. Less mistakes in the last 2 games makes things easier for the goalie.</div></div>
When Blue Jays won the World Series they had Jack Morris, with ERA of 5 - with most wins on team. Juan Guzman and Jimmy Key had ERA 3 and were well back in wins.
I hated it at the time - Morris was a fake. But somehow the team played better with him on the mound and it was real - he was the starter that gave them the best chance to win.

Also I already said this but Willy cannot close the door on how he played the other night. He has to bring that same fire to every game if the Leafs are going to have a chance at winning anything.</div></div>
Yep thats why I said if they played like they did game 4 for game 5 and 6 they were ****ED even with a goalie switch
They avoided the elimination bullet but 1 more is in that chamber good luck
Good news no Wes game 7

Yep now lets see if it continues game 7
As idk if were gonna catch BOS with its pants down a third time. They gonna come out swinging
IMO were gonna need our PP going to close this series out and for this team to once again score 3 goals. But most importantly start on time

Since we're yapping about this again. Woll is only covering up the issues with this team. We still can't score and special teams are still bad.
If he drops off in any way it's over. He isnt the solution, hes the bandaid. Precarious way to live

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>oneX</b></div><div>So...I'm going to say something but it's not because the guy scored 2 goals last night. William Nylander had his best game as a Leaf last night and no..it wasn't because of the goals because we've seen plenty of that from him.
What I saw in the first period was Willy make 2 defensive plays and help take the puck out of the zone. Then...in the third period he delivered a hit in the Leafs zone and took the puck away again.
If we are getting this version of Willy Styles, then he's going to be worth every penny of this contract that's kicking in.
We need this version of Nylander game in and game out, especially in the playoffs. Had not seen this until last night but now want more!</div></div>
It's kind of funny how it Took Matthews being out to actually wake Tor up especially him lul
Everyone has stepped up big that'd for sure
Pp still sucks though lul

I have been dreaming of Willy getting mad and laying some hits. He's legit a beast physically. 6 feet and over 200 lbs, he's a solid solid dude, he so hard to get off the puck when he has it. Add a little anger and aggression and he becomes so so so much better and we are seeing it.
I also loved the first period from him. He likely "appeared to be invisible" to some, those though only see hits and points because he was so good in his zone that period the puck never really came to him but he had an impact. Then he made stuff happen when he had the puck. Love it! I hope he absolutely runs Marchand in game 7

Where was this game 1,3 and 4 lul
Play like this in those games dont matter whose in net or missing from the lineup lul

Anyone notice that both Leaf goals happened because the Leafs got pucks on net and guys in front? It was funny watching a Bruins fan flip off Knies with both hands. Tavares might have just extended his time as a Leaf and saved the jobs of Shanahan, Keefe, and Marner

Look at the Sharks after they got EK65. They should've been unstoppable, yet Burns was less productive and Karlsson wasn't the same player he was in Ottawa. This team will never win with a core 4</div></div>
There yah go see I mentioned that last year and during the Willy debacle. 3 guys in double digits was not working and unless something changes were gonna have 4 start of 2024.
Now I love each of these players they have all been great for regular seasons and have had some special moments but were approaching 9 years in the Matthews era and 1 series win not good enough. We have gone through 3 GM'S, A HC, lots of assistants, and have surrounded these guys with various kind of linemates, dman, goalies, etc and it hasnt worked
Sharks be the perfect example to as like TOR Wilson decided to give everyone big fat contracts and keep all the good players. Yet its been on SCF in so many years with the group and it just never came to be.
Soon almost 50m put into these guys and so far in playoffs its mostly been disappointment especially this series. Had good regular seasons but in playoffs struggle to score
Probs to late now but team should have explored moving one of them a summer ago but didnt
