<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Laudan</b></div><div>As i told you before, dont underestimate us Swedes, we go from tought to tougher after 30y.
Dont get me wrong, i like the kid. He will be decent middle Pair D. But with emerging of Sandin and Liljegren both filling into third Pair next year, the Team would have 24y on average in Offense and 26y, 23y, 20y, 21y defencemen, none of them being a "hitter" which i think is necessity. Again i may be biased after all those years between the pipes but i actually got a slight boner each time when some speedster was rushing towards me on the wing just to be shutdown to the ice by the guy infront of me that i could always rely on.....and after they brought Muzzin, i just cant have enough of the guy and his checking abilities....
As for Hjalmarsson, i take the guy over Ceci at any time of day, even at his 40s.</div></div>
thats definitely weird bro

Offer sheet Marner
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>coga16</b></div><div>Using someone else project method, not your own so lazy....and the point of this all uou dont include MacKinnon....you have 66m in 10 players and you want to add 10m in Marner, plus you need to ensure you have space for mega deal for Mackinnon. You still need to fill out 12 roster spots and you would have easily burned 76m in 11 players. Plus yous till have MackInnon, Donskoi, Kadri and Johnson contracts to comprehend bc they are still on the books 3 years from now. Combined they are over 20m in cap space. Awesome you have 96m conmitted and have 15 guys under contract 2 years from now and need to sign 8 more. I didnt know the cap was going to be well over a 100m by then.
Congrats you just sank the Colorado Avalanche bc you mismanged the cap buy adding Marner</div></div>
Gave my opinions on pretty much every signing. I think you're seemingly forgetting that in the NHL nowadays teams are uber reliant on cheap, young depth players. Colorado has prospects that can come up and make the jump to be cheaper replacement options.
Take out Zadorov and insert Byram. Timmins also could potentially be an option in 2-3 years.
Insert Kaut/Bowers into the 3rd/4th lines maybe even up.
They'd all be making less than 925k.
Is Bura gonna get 7.6M? NO.
Is Girard gonna get 5M out of his ELC? No.
Zadorov a fringe top4, better suited for a shutdown bottom pair guy gonna get 6M? No.
Jost? Getting 7.6M in 2-3 years? No.
Kamenev getting 2.3M? More realistic than the other options, still, probably not.
Landy getting 10? I'd cringe, might happen, shouldn't.
Rantanen probably will get less than 11.
Mackinnon deserves 12.5, maybe he might fetch more. I'd like to think he's follow his hometown/childhood idol Sid and take less to field a better team. who knows.
Makar, I'd be willing to be he gets less than 7.5 due to the fact he's not as complete as a Dman than McAvoy, but who knows. 7.5M for LONG term would work, other than that a bridge deal 5-6M more likely imo.
With the savings there, they'd be fine. I exaggerated all of those contracts except maybe Rantanen and Mackinnon
Also, Johnson, Kadri and Donskoi could easily be traded that far into their respective contracts to make cap room

Rantanen: $9,931,903 8 yrs
Kamenev: $771,189 2 yrs (he'll have to be resigned in 2021 so lets say his salary triples to $2,313,567 for 2 years as well. (probably unrealistic and he isn't a MAJOR part of the core, so could do without this)
Compher: $3,873,645 for 6 years
Bura: $2,553,126 for 2 years (he'll have to be resigned in 2021, let's say his salary triples to $7,659,378 for 2 years as well. (Bura has loads of potential but not sure if I ever see him making almost 8m..)
Jost: No projection due to the fact that he's RFA next year not this year. Same salary as Bura is fair or even overshooting it I think tbh. $7,659,378 for 2 years.
Zadorov: Signed 1 year 3.2M. Let's double that to 6.4 for 2 years. Probably too much again.
Girard: Coming out of his entry level, hard to gauge. Lets say 5M for 2 years? Realistically probably 2.5M too much.
Landeskog: Lets say he gets 10M. I know as well as probably everyone on here that he's not worth that but for arguments sake.
Makar: Whatever McAvoy gets I think he'll get slightly less. Lets say 7.5M.
Grubauer. Lets say he doubles his current salary he's just under 7M.
Add all of that up and it's 66M, and that's probably overvaluing everyone HARD.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>coga16</b></div><div>you really are dense not understanding you have to take into consideration the Landeskog and Mackinnon major raises , as well as Makar in the next 2-4 years...and as the cap goes up the more expensive their contracts get taking bigger pieces of the pie. Talk about being brain dead...I have mentioned that multiple times and you still dont understand that.</div></div>
you're dense... they'll have enough money for everyone :tearsofjoy
2021-2022: Rantanen, Compher, Bura, Kamenev, Jost, Zadorov, Girard, Landeskog, Makar and Grubauer... if they cant fit that in with 60 F UCKING million dollars they're terrible with cap.

Avs are in a prime spot and have built something very special, they arent going to destroy it bc of Mitch Marner to be the second line RW</div></div>
So in 2020-2021 they have 41m cap space (without signing anyone this year) and (not accounting for the cap going up, which IT WILL)
They'd need to fit: Rantanen, Compher, Bura, Kamenev, Jost, Zadorov and Girard.. EASILY doable. I dont care about Wilson, Nieto, Barberio, Connauton or Francouz.. if you dont think you can fit those 7 core young players in with that amount of money you're brain dead!
Not to mention Colorado has a great farm system
