Tampa Bay Lightning signed Andrei Vasilevskiy (8 Years / $9,500,000 AAV)
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Hockeylover360</b></div><div>Ok, I don't think this contract will work for Tampa's cap problems at all. Long term goalie contracts like this may back fire in the later half.</div></div>

IMO Kreider > MOJO. Idk what the difference would be TBH.
a B prospect(Studnicka)+3rd for a proven NHL player who's going to give you 20 goals I think at least, plus getting a 4th back.
Maybe I may be too high on Kreider but I love his game, think Boston could really utilize his skill set + I think the city would love his style of play.
Difference between Bostons 3rd and NYR 4th shouldn't be too much... maybe 20 picks at most..
<a href="https://www.tsn.ca/playing-the-percentages-in-the-nhl-draft-1.206144" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">https://www.tsn.ca/playing-the-percentages-in-the-nhl-draft-1.206144</a> only about a give or take 10% difference between a 3rd/4th rounder making it to the NHL.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Spanky227</b></div><div>keep in mind, he was playing hurt after the deadline because the rangers had a barebones roster but the coach still wanted to compete. His final 17 games he only had 2 goals, after potting 26 in his first 62 games (which was a pace of 34 goals per 82). Also, consider that Boston is in win now mode with a lot of their team above 30. Paying a premium may be what it takes. Rangers know this too well after not having a 1st rounder for like 5 years</div></div>
Only thing I can see that would kind of even out of the trade is that NYR need to shed cap as well... it would be mutually beneficial for both teams then. NYR are in rebuild, to get a prospect/pick back for a guy you know you're going to lose and also having it make you cap compliant is a double win

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ON3M4N</b></div><div>He's never hit 30G in his career and suddenly he "realistically could score 30 goals next year?" If he does net 30 goals, he's going to want a big contract and Boston can't afford it. Boston is very high on Studnicka and he's pretty much a non-starter for 99% of trades.</div></div>
Kreider has scored 28 goals twice, playing on NYR.. a basement team. Playing with Bergy/Pasta/Krejci/Marchy I think he could bag a few more, sorry you disagree

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Ngp2</b></div><div>That's an absurd price for a year (or even an extended) Kreider. Hard pass on Maroon.</div></div>
To Boston: M. Johansson
To Devils: 2nd + 4th
I may have overvalued Kreider slightly, I'd say Kreider has more trade value though than MOJO though... so
Studnicka+3rd for Kreider+4th? Basing it off the MOJO trade I'd say that's pretty equal value

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Spanky227</b></div><div>rangers jump on that deal</div></div>
I mean Kreider could realistically score 30 goals next year and get extended by the B's.. if thats the case I think its a pretty fair trade. Obviously if he walks NYR win the trade easily but thats always the risk you take when you add rentals.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>NHLfan10506</b></div><div>Not a BOS or MIN fan.
Backes contract won’t be easy to move, but I think it could be done for less.
Trade 1: Backes / 1st for 7th
Trade 2: JFK / Zboril or Frederic / 3rd for Zucker
Teams with 2-years rebuilding left and cap space (OTT, LAK, NJD) would probably entertain trade 1.
Maybe I am too high in JFK, but think MIN would consider trade 2.</div></div>
I 100% agree. I think the Marleau trade set the bar for cap dumps. Especially for a team like Boston that is in a similar position to Toronto in trying to create cap space to sign RFAs

Splitting the big 3 up is a smart move. On the 3rd pair he still would average 20+ a night easily.

but troll on little one.
If you think 200k is the difference between someone OS Pettersson you are an idiot.
If someone was going to OS him they could do it at under 4,227,437 for a 2nd round pick and it would have happened by now because we all know the Penguins can't match that and not one ACGM on here has him going for that much.
But no one is going to do that.
That's all there is to that. So PLEASE for the love of god, pull your head out your backside.</div></div>
when did I say any of that?
The fact you think teams aren't offer sheeting him because they don't want the Pens mad at them in childlike..
