What is the value of pens players
I don't see Geno pulling 3 1st's. I think JG gets significantly more than he does. Think Geno gets a playoff team 1st and an A prospect at this point.

Um sir...who is that?
Hard to say because I haven’t heard of half of them. For that reason I’d guess not too much for most. Glendening I think is a nice part of Detroit’s rebuild so not sure if they would deal him cheap.
Apologies I don’t have too much knowledge of under the radar guys on other teams.</div></div>
Take a min and check them out. Tumo (35th last year in the draft), McK and Vill especially.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>NoWah49</b></div><div>I don't think we got enough of a look at him to see if he can be effective for us again. I'd sign him to a 1 year deal under 2 and if he rejects, then he's not a Penguins. And I LOVE Sheary, but he's not nearly as effective without Sid.
With that said, if he can play on a 1st line with Sid/Zucker and then keep Guentz with Geno and Rust then it could be worth it.</div></div>
Sheary at 1.5x 1 hells to the yeah

Flat cap for 20-21
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>mhockey91</b></div><div>Geno was having a monster year LOL that would be a major mistake. Pens are still contenders. All they need is some small tweaks.</div></div>
And that is why you trade your second best star who is over 32 when your team is bereft of talent.
Geno to CAL should pull Ryan, Kylington and a 1st on a bad day.

They had to bring up playoff statistics and probabilities this year. The PENS are pretty much done unless they make drastic moves. Moving Geno is their only common sense move. Geno to CAR makes sense, maybe to LAK. I'd go CAL for Ryan, kylington and Yelesin al day long.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>mhockey91</b></div><div>Isn’t that the point of “good signings”? Depth guys step up when others are injured. Pens are still contenders. No need to do anything crazy to this team. Run the Murray/Jarry tandom next season, move out Jugs / Johnson somehow, add some help on the bottom pairing, and maybe add a good face off centre for the 3rd line</div></div>
Can this team afford to lose another starting goalie 2 x in what 3 years? I'm not saying that jarry is the answer, I am saying that Murray has VALUE.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>mhockey91</b></div><div>The only improvement you made was on The bottom pairing. The goaltending / Forwards are worse than the current pens. Pittsburgh was 1st in the metro not too long ago despite being severely injured. They went on a huge skid. It happens. If hockey does resume this season, Pens will have a legit shot at the cup. If a break would help any team this year it’s the pens. They get to be fully healthy, and regroup from this skid. Meanwhile teams like Philly that were on a tear before this “pause” lost their momentum</div></div>
They were playing $20 bets with $5 in their pockets. Marino, Tanev, Jarry and JG were playing well above their paychecks. There is reason why the 2020 1st to MIN had a clause on it.

Avs trade your thoughts
Johnsson has almost zero trade value due to his injury. Nylander, Kerfoot and Kap are the ones that can be traded but shouldn't be. With Nylander's contract and stats, he's the one you trade. He can be replaced easily in house with Kap. 3 C's are so overlooked it's crazy. Keep Kerfoot for that money or demand the world.

Just don't see it happening. DET if they get it would have the potential for 2 #1 C's and they are slightly ahead of the curve of a team like EDM when it comes to depth. DET lacks G depth, solved. DET lacks top 9 depth, solved. DET lacks HEALTHY D depth, solved. They will still have a decent amount of cap depending on what the do with a couple guys but they should be a wild card team after this trade.

Toronto and Pittsburgh under cap combined deadliest team in the NHL
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>MitchMarnerElite </b></div><div>That’s an interesting take actually cuz a week ago, I made a “who’s better” player discussion & one of the comparisons was between Marner & Guentzel. The majority of people who participated said Marner was better, which surprised me a bit. Based on this season’s performance, I think Guentzel was significantly better, however, I think they are actually very close overall. Jake probably has the edge due to his playoff performances. I’d expect Marner to have the higher ceiling though.
Who’d you guys think is better?

Gotta go with JG for multiple reasons. 1) Cap cost 2) Team player (see cap cost) 3) Hockey sense, he has that knack to be where the puck is gonna be (see Gretzky, Mario, Bure etc) Not saying he's gonna be on their level but he has that mojo. You can't go wrong with either considering their PPG but to me it's hands down JG.

I'd offer McCann-POJ-Rikkola-2021 1st for Rakell and their 2020 2nd. With both Zucker and JG sign long term on the left McCann is gonna cost more than is needed for a third line LW/C with a bad F/O %. Good player but he's redundant. Same with POJ, Dumo and MP have the left side locked for years to come with the O talent laced up on the RD side.
