<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>cbreezy14</b></div><div>Where do you see Schneider fitting into the Rangers long term plans? Right side of Fox, Trouba, and Lundqvist seems pretty set. Left side of Lindgren and Miller ain’t bad either so essentially leaves one roster spot on his offside. They are one of the few teams that’s loaded on the back end. Makes sense to trade from a position of strength to a position of weakness up the middle?</div></div>
Agree, when Rangers trade for a center or top 6 winger, I'm sure they will include a defenseman in the package, but it won't be Schneider. Why? Because he is the exact type of player Drury has been signing and trading for and wants on the team long term.....big, physical, talented, and a leader. They traded up to get him and he will be cost controlled for at least 3 years. Drury is not trading him. I could see Nils being traded before Schneider.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>cbreezy14</b></div><div>Miller has outscored Ardvisson 118-53 in the last two season so not sure what you mean by not agreeing with the assessment of you players involved but welcome to your own opinion. I’m guessing by the age problem.. it’s not really to do with Miller and Ardvisson as they are the same age.. more so Fabbro and Schmidt side of the deal which is fair because of the age difference. What happened with Fabbro in the playoffs and down the stretch? I was very surprised he was a scratch in playoffs and played Carrier and others over him. Obviously I’m a fan of his and think he would be a good fit for Van</div></div>
I see Miller's monster season from two years ago as an aberration, not a trend. While Arvidsson's reduced production over the last couple years may be a sign he's slowing down, I feel the way John Hynes uses him has a lot to more to due with the drop. He's not being put into a position to succeed anymore.
Obviously the getting older aspect for NSH is about the Schmidt-Fabbro age discrepancy. Given NSH's core defensemen are getting older, adding a 29 year old with term is absolutely the wrong direction for them. There's still the issue of the extra salary NSH is taking on here too. Miller makes a million more than Arvidsson, and Schmidt gets paid about twice what Fabbro's next contract will likely be.
Fabbro getting scratched in the playoffs was a bit of a surprise for me too, but Carrier did out play him this season. Carrier's years of experience in the minors showed, while Fabbro who got rushed straight to the NHL is still showing some growing pains. The organization still seems very high on Fabbro though.

LABANC IS NOT A 5 MILLION DOLLAR PLAYER
Think Wilson's hands were tied. They probably agreed to a huge payday after Labanc took that 1x1 discount deal...only way this makes sense.

adam roster
Arizona needs to get out of 58 million dollars. This trade means 5 million real dollars left in Eriksson's deal, and Virtanen will cost 3 million. Arizona will clear cap space to save 50 million real dollars. Also, Arizona is handicapped as Vancouver and Boston are the only trade options.

New York Rangers
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>cbreezy14</b></div><div>I politely disagree with you. Buch is just a shade over 3 which is more than Virtanen will make however he is a legit top 6 right winger which would allow them to pass on signing Toffoli. I think it would be very beneficial to have a Russian on the roster to help Podkolzin’s transition to the NHL. I like Zack a lot and think he is a perfect 4th liner but Andersson is still on his ELC and has a higher ceiling in my opinion. I haven’t watched him play since his world j’s day and obviously has struggled in New York so my take might be wrong.. but he was a good two way center for Sweden and I think he would be a good fit on the 3rd line rotation taking draws with Gaudette and bringing a better defensive presence. Also his past connection with Pettersson might help him recover his game. Just my thoughts and think that would be a nice trade for Van</div></div>
Valid argument if Buch is in fact a top 6 winger. I like the part about Pod as well. I think you may have convinced me. Well done

Cheaper Bottom 6 and RD Overhaul
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>cbreezy14</b></div><div>Few thoughts on my personal opinion. I think Cernak is a great partner for Hughes whether it be offersheet or trade. I feel like giving up a first for two year of Manson is a lot. I know you get to dump Beagle in the deal but essentially Manson and Cernak bring similar skill sets.. so I feel a puck moving dman that can drive transitional play and run a second power play would be good to pair with Edler. As for big RW as a place holder.. they have Zack in the system who fits that description who would cost under a million dollar a year. Not sure if he is ready for 3rd line deployment if that’s the case Leivo is a better fit than AA. Pacquette is a waste of a pick if Sutter is being healthy scratched. Although overpaid Sutter brings as much value as Cedric in a 4th line capacity. Also signing Toffoli will cost them the 4th round pick you gave away in that trade as it is conditioned on the Toffoli trade. Finally I don’t think it is wise to rush Hoglander to the NHL. Let him season a year in the AHL if it happens get used to North America sized ice and I think he would be ready to make the jump next season. Overall good thoughts just my honest assessment on your post</div></div>
I didn't really know who to pair who with on the defense so I'd be open to switching them. I would've been open to bringing in a more of puck moving dman if we hadn't signed Myers, plus I see Rathbone being that 2nd unit PP QB in a few years anyways. I think they need to focus on being more defensively sound and I think it take both Manson and Cernak to do it. I also thought about putting Macewen on the 3rd line but I agree that I don't think he is ready for the 3rd line yet. I also forgot about the condition on the Toffoli signing but I'm not really a fan of Sutter which is why I brought in Paquette I just think he's faster and willing to be more physical. I also don't think there is going to be an AHL season so I think giving him sheltered minutes on the 3rd line is much more significant to his development then sending back to the SHL. I'm also pretty sure I read an interview from him saying he wouldn't go to the AHL anyways. But I appreciate your thoughts

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>canucks_Fan_53</b></div><div>i agree with a lot of what youre saying but (other than ferland now) this team would have no grit VAN needed guys to replace burrows and Kelser (enter Beagle, Rousell) ,
Roussel IMO was a great signing! he put up a career high in points (in 15 less games than his previous best).
another thing to note is the D. injury prone, inconsistent and light duty. Myers and Benn will help fix that i have no issue with the value of Myers contract.. would feel a lot better if it was a 4 year deal though. but that's free agency. teams were offering him more (look at Trouba's deal) 6x6 is great value then his projected 8m ask only the term will cause issues.</div></div>
Myers is a 3rd pair guy who makes way to much. They could have signed Gardiner for less and he is far better. They also spent way to much on depth guys who dont bring much of anything to the table.

Massive Wild Trade
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TanSor</b></div><div>You're welcome! As am I, I watched quite a few KHL games to see Kaprizov and he looks like a superstar in the making. We will see in a couple years, I guess. Honestly we don't really have that old of a core anymore. Our old skaters are Parise, Staal, Koivu, Zuccarello, Spurgeon, and Suter, the rest of our players are still pretty young. We already have too many NHL players so we can't really afford to add any more. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely would love to have Boeser, but realistically the price it would cost us to get him is likely far too much.</div></div>
That's the issue. The Wild have quantity, they need quality. 99% of the trades on here involve sending NHL depth to the Wild when they don't need it. Maybe a deal around Zucker and Boldy for Boeser might make sense from the Wild's perspective because Boeser offers a quality upgrade now from Zucker while sending the Canucks a blue chip prospect in Boldy and a productive forward in Zucker who will still be good in a few years when the Canucks are ready to compete. Guessing Canucks fans wouldn't like that deal though and understandably because you're gambling on Boldy panning out.

Plus you get the hometown kid haha</div></div>

Eh... I think Kaprizov has potential to be either similar to or better than Boeser, so we're essentially trading Zucker and Boldy for a bunch of "meh" prospects. I know it's for fun but I wouldn't do it if I were GM
