I wouldn't even do this as Philly. Especially since Torts would run Zegras out of town - he's everything that he hates. Flashy, bad defensively, and cocky.
I also just don't think Z is worth all that

What would you ask for a 70 - MAYBE 80pt player in his prime who will probably be moved to the wing because he is completely inept defensively**
Fixed it for you
Trade above is not fair but Zegras has a lot of kinks to iron out... Philly would have to add a young forward ideally

Win win trade but really unlikely part of FLA
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Db1899</b></div><div>At worst Lundell will be a 60 pt 2C who plays in all situations. He played at a 55 pt pace as a 20 YO, players who do put up those numbers at his age almost always go on to be 60+ pt players.</div></div>
He played at a 55 point pace when? He’s pacing 30 this season. He hasn’t been all that great. He’s not the guy you think he is.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Db1899</b></div><div>What you don’t get is that 1 1/2 years of Bob at 10 mill per is a lot less risky than 28 YO saros 1 1/2 years at 5 mill + 8 years at 8.5 mill</div></div>
I think you’re the only one on this entire site that thinks that. Saros has been a top goalie in the league for years. He’s been tasked with dragging Nashville to the playoffs (or close to it) yearly. It isn’t really his fault for the rough start. The price of 8 is what it costs for a goalie who’s been top of the board for years. And with Saros, it will be no different.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Db1899</b></div><div>Lundell would be your best young player by a mile with the Highest upside. Nashville doesn’t have a top 6 center in the system</div></div>
I’m not a Nashville fan, but I’d disagree. Lundell hasn’t lived up to the 1C allegations. He’s looking more like a lower end 2C. Trotting towards a 30pt pace. Trotz has expressed his desire to keep Saros. It is true that Bobrovsky has been playing great this season as well as a historical playoff run, thats makes it harder for him to have again. He carrie’s much more risk with his age and past season history. I would also prefer Saros and Tomasino, as I think most people on here would too.

Bob has been playing well but his age and contract are very risky. Not worth it. Lundell isn’t anything special to entice Nashville to make the move.

But yeah, the usage Parayko gets is downright sadistic. Now we send him out there half the time facing top lines along with the Blues 3rd and 4th lines. And he has been among the top few skaters on the ice in nearly every game this season.
But so what, right? Coz Dom, Mr. Subjective himself, who <em>tooootally </em>never thumbs the scale (wink wink), said snide stuff about a player he never watches. I'm not sure he could pick Parayko from a police line-up. But he's the authority. Coz Toronto osmosis.
AND if you do not defer to these blind authorities, you are a Toronto "hater" then. Because fake victimhood is a debate TKO. Or something.</div></div>
All this just to NOT admit you were wrong about RAPM charts and how Parayko is a painfully mid player.
You wear your pride on your sleeve man, time to put it in your pocket and be an adult.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>AC14</b></div><div>Are you aware of who and what Nick Leddy is? Let’s then ask, what about Marco Scandella? How about Tyler Tucker? Maybe Niko Mikkola?
Then let’s add the defensive stalwarts of Brayden Schenn? Kevin Hayes maybe?
Quantifying defense individually is nonsense. All of the top players on most quantified defensive setups are generally on the same team or at least very close to their individual partners.
I’m not advocating the Leafs should take Parayko. I’m advocating that he’s a heck of a lot better than most people who lean on charts versus seeing individual impact give him credit for.
Will his contract be rough towards the last year or two of his deal? Sure. But in the meantime if we aren’t moving the rest of the group that is ensuring he has to be caved in there’s no reason to worry about it at this point in time. We are a 1 line team, with one good defenseman and two pretty solid goalies with a bunch of spare parts that don’t fit.
I’m not saying he’s Cale Makar, but not one of the best 60 defensemen in the league? You can probably make a list of 30-40 that I’d at least entertain.</div></div>
The problem is knowing how DFD’s normally trend downwards into their 30’s. And Parayko has already started to show a steady decline. Saying his contract would be bad the last 2 years is being generous. His contract already looks bad.
Saying “oh but his teammates!” is a cop out. Good players still show out on bad teams. Especially mediocre ones. He’s been average across the board since Pietro left and clearly isn’t all that great in big minutes against top comp.
I’m not advocating for Toronto getting him either, or for the Blues to trade him at all. I’m just here stating that he’s not a player teams should move prime assets for.

Parayko was THAT GUY like when he was playing his actual 2RD role behind Pietro, and was one of the most sought out defenders in the league.
He hit 30, numbers regressed in bigger roles that he clearly can’t handle (shocker), and Blues fans cant let go.
That guy is so far in deep in his own echo chamber it’s crazy.

Just because you live in Toronto doesn’t mean you’re an expert on hockey. Both are probably far from the truth.
The whole teams xgf and xga percentages aren’t great. It’s called a dysfunctional team. It’s why those stats aren’t as useful as a lot of you ‘geniuses’ like to portray them to be.
Parayko is not a great offensive facilitator. But he’s an extremely and mean extremely effective 1 on 1 defender who lacks help and he chips in 5-10g 20-25 assists a season. That’s not a 2nd pairing defenseman. But I guess I’ll have to defer to you since you are clearly on TSN analyzing hockey since you’re from Toronto</div></div>
If Parayko is unable to handle top competition without crumbling, then he’s not a top defender.

Just because Parayko plays top pair minutes on the Blues (a middling team) doesn’t make him a top pairing dman on a good team. His numbers (gf%, xgf%) are bad and have been for awhile and the few times I’ve watched him (admittedly only when the Leafs play the Blues), he’s meh. The contract is toxic, not the player - too much $ & term for a guy that’s not good enough today and will only deteriorate.
A 1st & our only D prospect (RHD at that) are prime assets.</div></div>
I had this whole song and dance with mokumboi. He didn’t know how RAPM charts work, you know, the ones that show Parayko has been painfully average this season and the few seasons prior.
He’ll call you out on not knowing what you’re talking about, but dude speaks out of his arse 99% of the time he’s on this site. When you correct him, he goes silent and adds you to his ignore list lol.
