Chychrun to FLA
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>CMcAvoy73</b></div><div>He led all d men in goals last season with a good two way game. He’s a number one on most teams.
As i figured, there are only two logical conclusions here:
1. You don’t know who chychrun is
2. You’re a troll, and a pretty good one at that.
I’m leaning towards the latter, but either way, i have no use for you. Smell ya later lady</div></div>
hahaha scared and running away are we? :D :D :D :D :D incredible (that is why I dont argue with kids on internet ... they start losing and run away) ... already wasted a lot of time (and time is money) on your lazy stupid childish ass ... I will finish you in style my dear. Do you know a player called Ryan McDonagh? I have a good comparable for you.
Let me take you back in time to 2014, this guy has already established himself in the league and is playing close to 25min per night in regular season (pretty similiar to someone huh? except on a good team) :)
In the playoffs an average of 26:49 not on a good team .... a team that has managed to play in the FINALS. :D :D :D so hopefully we can agree that the guy is a stud ... and wait he is on a new contract :O at 6x4,7M per (second year). :O quite a good contract huh?
so this guy plays a solid hockey right? :) and guess what 4 more years of absolutely solid and consistent two way play ... 23 22 24 24 TOI in those seasons they trade him at the deadline in the last year still having 1 more on his contract... at 4,7M :O
The trade is as follows:
to TBL McDonagh + JT Miller
to NYR Namestnikov, Howden, Hajek, 1st, 2nd
astonishing right? :O your ass must have gotten a lot tighter right now eh? :)
Lets break it down to pieces, shall we? and compare while we are at it.... like I said in the first couple of comments ... my trade proposal is not final and I would like to discuss smaller tweakings in positive attitude (then you called my offer ,,worlds away,, ,,really poor offer,, ,,It’s a really bad trade offer,,) and remember this trade actually happened xD it is a fact not an opinion
we will leave the Miller vs Crouse argument for later
NYR GOT MY OFFER COMPARISON
Namestnikov vs. Montour = good roster player, still youngish(maybe tradeable in the offseason for 2nd and 3rd?), Montour gets slight edge in value
Howden vs. Tippett = good prospect drafted in 1st round, Tippett already has a spot on a good FLA team, waiting for the breakout year,
whole career has been more valuable than Howden (tradeable for later first?), Tippett gets slight edge in value
Hajek vs. Heponiemi = high draft position, will probably lead nowhere, I dont even care where the edge is here, I thought this piece would change in suggestions
1st vs. 1st = self explanatory, or? you need to argue?
2nd vs. Vatrano+3rd+7th= 3rd and 7th are kinda similiar but Vatrano? surely tradeable at the deadline for 3rd or 4th, maybe even resigns in ARI and gets traded for pick later?, easy spots for grabs
to me this seem like a similiar value
now JT Miller is miles ahead of Crouse ... I dont even feel the need to compare the values
CONCLUSION:
Remember this trade actually happened, and JT Miller is heads and toes ahead of Crouse (I dont even see the points of discussion here) so I see it as a completely legitimate starting point for Chychrun and already a better offer than NYR got for McDonagh. :D
You may call this offer is kinda lowballish maybe, but trying to be realistic (especially what would a NHL GM realistically give up) and like I said I wanted to discuss the tweaks with you guys, instead got your stupid and needlessly aggresive comments mr. know_it_all_and_yet_not_very_knowlidgeable, without you even knowing the contracts and the reasons why they were included, trying to take the fight to foreigh grounds. :D
So consider yourself proven wrong my dear. :) If you want to sincerely apologise for calling this offer /xyz/ then go ahead. If not, you dont have to waste words. :) Have a good one sweetheart.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>CMcAvoy73</b></div><div>If you knew about the contracts why did you use those examples?
Rentals do not have the value of a 23 year old with four years left on an awesome contract. You understand that right? You don’t really need that explained to you, do you?</div></div>
yep nothing new here... do you need an explanation that a better player ... a bonafide star for example is more valuable than 4th liner? yes? probably not :D
so as we understand this concept now ... Chychrun is a top4 LD on almost any team also with a great contract ... but not like your number one D on championship winning team ... that may come as a shock to you huh? he is probably your number 2 or 3 if he continues growing etc. (and kinda worth an argument on its own for sure)
also you did not answer... are you ready for my grand final argument? it will take a while to write though... :D scared to be proven wrong?

the fact that you are trying to prove me wrong on my different opinions not correleating to this trades makes me:
1. happy cause this tactic says you are losing the argument even before grand finale (common in politics as well ... it has smth to do with diversion smth dunno)
2. laughing :D you probably were not even watching hockey in 2016 right? eg. Hamilton seems like a good comparable :D and I know about the contracts sweetie

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>CMcAvoy73</b></div><div>If the emojis are a troll, well done. Makes you super annoying. I feel like I’m talking with a toddler in more ways than one.
But again, where did i say he wouldn’t be able to play 20 minutes with the coyotes?
Where did i say three firsts? I said two firsts.
It’s a lot of value, but an asset like chychrun coming on the market is a once every 20 year thing.
Clearly cap isn’t important to me? Lady, that’s the whole point of this. Chychrun’s contract is fantastic.
I don’t think you know who chychrun is, nor do i think you’ve paid any attention to trades in the NHL over the last…well, ever.</div></div>
The feeling is mutual dear sir! :)
In terms of value you are asking for 2 firsts ... Lysell who is another 1st ... DeBrusk flippable for 2nd ... and that is not a done deal yet just a proper offer my man :D so I guess a must take from ARI side is in your opinion 2 firsts Lysell as a first and another value of first if Debrusk as a second is just proper offer? :D Are you kidding me? Seriously some people heree (you especially) should wake up! This is completely ridiculous value for Chychrun and NO GM will do that. :D If one would ... he would get axed next offseason ... I dont know what it is with people highballing every player here lol. :)
So let me get this straight ... with trades in recent years (dunno like 10?) Chychrun is the most valuable trade target? Without even shedding smth like the contract of Moore? :D You really had me laughing hard on this one. Are you one of those kids playing NHLxy whole day? Cause your estimation of REALISTIC really comes close to EA :D.
ARI is gonna keep him for another year and his value will go down to like 1 first one good prospect (worth 1st) and trade him after a year or 2 of trade requests etc.

Would this suffice? ,,Capable of playing 25 a night?,, :D almost any NHL defenseman is capable of 25 a night on a god awful ARI team that is CLEARLY tanking. Like I said before -29 is also not that hard to achieve, 7 point in 26 games? also not that hard to archieve... you will argue how good defensively and offensively he is ... but the truth is he is having a down season and betting on him having a rebound next year on same tanking ARI team with even worse motivation is just plain stupid. But hey you do you man. :D he is obviously Norris candidate as soon as he goes to a better team right?
Second of all you are offering 3 firsts and a young roster player (second basically)? that is just absolutely crazy value :D if they get offered this why the waiting game? Are you suggesting they are waiting for another 1st like I said you would? :D
but I would get it ... it is your opinion that Chychrun is top15 D like you said earlier.... if you also at least unloaded Moore contract ... but no ... clearly cap is not importnat for you... all of that just for Chychrun. You wouldnt last long as a GM unfortunately. ;) Have a nice day my dear. :D

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Dutchies</b></div><div>I've got high hopes for Sandin, and even more so for Niemela when he's ready. In the next 3 years I see the following pairings:
Reilly / Brodie
Sandin / Niemela
Muzzin / Liljgren
Muzzin won't be resigned after his contract is up.
If Dermott steps up, he may end up making Muzzin expendable, or he'll be moved too.
Holl will be gone after next year, unless he's traded before. (all depends on which guys decide to develop faster).
There's a number of teams that don't really need Chychrun, but he'd definitely be a value upgrade for any team that deals for him. I think FLA is in that same boat. Ekblad is an absolute stud, Montour and Weegar are excellent, Forsling is coming along and Gudas is the muscle. The 6th spot has some decent depth to ride the carousel.</div></div>
Agreeing with everything basically except 1 little thing ... I think Liljegren will be on that 2RD ... I am still a fan of his even though he did not develop as well as he should have... but hopefully he will be a solid 2RD ( still believe :D )
Well according to mister McAvoy here ... Montour is a cap dump :D
not even able to play over 20mins on current ARI without Chychrun so.... he might disagree with the excellency compliment ...:D

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>CMcAvoy73</b></div><div>Do you think using emojis strengthens your argument?
Anyway, this offer equates to a 1st, a 3rd, a mediocre young roster player, and some fluff/cap dumps. Ya, every team beats that, and i would hope you realize there is room between that junk, and four firsts.
At face value, he should net a return as good, or better than eichel.
Then factor in that most teams can find a way to absorb 4.6, while few could absorb 10, and all of a sudden there are a lot more teams bidding. Then factor in that chychrun doesn’t need some surgery that most of the teams in the league wouldn’t approve, and there are even more teams bidding.
Chychrun, if he is truly made available would be one of the most valuable assets on the market in the cap era. A return should look something like a 1st, a true top prospect, and a solid roster player on their ELC, plus either a 2nd or a 1st depending on the strength of the other assets.
I think there might be a direct negative correlation between emojis used and strength of argument.</div></div>
Emojis ( :D ) strengthen the fun I am having with reacting to your downtalking xD and if your opinios on arguments are as those on hockey ... please keep them to yourself ... not really needed in hockey trade discussions :D On the other hand ... if you would approach such discussions with a positive attitude and help change or upgrade them ince you are heree ... the discussion might actually lead somewhere meaningful. ;)
I understand fully how a bidding war could get out of hand... but the thing you forgot is no GM is gonna bid like no tomorrow especially with the current climate of GM firings.... 4 in last couple of months? So please do not underestimate the conservativism of current GMs. Nobody will give you 2 1sts just like that :D. Either contending teams already dont have them or the middling teams are too scared.
Also trading away the best player in the deal usually wont bring back what he is really worth (I think you should already know that if you follow hockey for a longer while and ,,hockey trades,, are rare nowadays so dont expect already contending teams trading away valuable roster pieces. If nobody screws up that is. ;)
I agree he is worth a lot ... BUT ... I am still waiting for the concrete offer .... it takes some time to put up but I am sure you can manage to find a team with all those pieces just waiting to get rid of them ... with a big hole at top 4LD position. :) Or are you starting to see the difficulty with your asking price? :D Till you find a proper team with all the pieces and a REAL NEED for top4 LD on (very nice) 4,6M contract ... dont waste my time darling. ;) (even though I am having good fun with such an EXPERT :O)
Oh and since you like emojis and I am a rather smiley guy ... here you go :P :) :O :D :D :D :D

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>CMcAvoy73</b></div><div>Your argument would be valid if the coyotes either had to trade chychrun exclusively to florida, or lose him for nothing.
But he’s signed for four years
And there’s 30 other teams to trade with.
And all 30 of them would beat this really poor offer.</div></div>
Oh I am sure EVERY team would hahaha :D you are just joking at this point right?
I am also sure that EVERY team would pay like 4 unprotected first rounders huh? Would that be enough? or would you prefer they throw in a prospect or a roster player? :D
Now seriously comment your offer :D any team just keep it realistic darling (wanna see what is he worth to you ;) )
And also forgot ... yeah they kinda are on the clock ... cause playing like he is ... imagine that for 2 more years lets say .... his value would diminish by a LOT.
So if you want to max out on the return ... you should target this offseason. The guy probably is not happy with the situation in Arizona either.

Well then why is he only playing 16? Why has he never played 25? Why does he only have one season (a long time ago) when he played 22? Why is his career average TOI 20?
It’s a really bad trade offer.</div></div>
chill out man :D the point was Arizona is tanking ... dont know if you have been paying attention lately but they kinda suck and will suck for a couple of more years :D so its a win win situation ... he plays 25mins on top pair ... plays great till the offseason? nice ... trade him then for a nice cosy little package
he sucks? well we suck anyway and will be in the running for Wright and Bedard etc.
Just dont act like Chychrun is so incredibly important for Arizona xD the only think he is to them is great value to trade off probably in the offseason before his value dips more next year with him being probably already unmotivated AF
God knows if they ever will contend again while in state of ARI
(and I feel rather foolish for arguing with a random guy who doesnt even understand all of this xD )
(forgot to add you are a really bad analyst captain obvious :D and not fun at all ... hopefully not some teenage kid ... if so ... pay more attention to the league xD)

Chychrun to FLA
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Dutchies</b></div><div>LOL, everyone is gonna ask for Lundell, and I'm sure FLA doesn't want to give him up. I wouldn't be surprised if Montour was included he didn't report. he didn't want to be in ANA for a rebuild, he wasn't happy in BUF either. ARI would be a trifecta that would drive anyone crazy!
Either way, any team dealing for Chych will have to give up at least 1"A can't miss" prospect and a first to get him. Other peices will also need to be included, but that's the core of the trade.
A lot of people on here keep saying he's not gonna get what was commanded for Eichel, but those people also seem to forget that Eichel is $10 mil against the cap, and needed neck surgery prior to the trade. That depreciates the value for any player, not to mention the shovel job his agent did on the Sabres organization. Chych is a top pairing scoring machine that can play 20-24 min a night. I personally think his return could be better than Eichel.
Any team that is serious about Chych knows that they'll have to give up pieces they don't want to. Otherwise my Leafs would have already traded a first, Nick Robertson, Travis Dermott, Jake Muzzin and Nick Ritchie for him :)</div></div>
1. hahaha yea :D trifecta made me laugh ... unlucky guy... and yeah I agree with basically everything ... I just think it is not in any teams best interest to give up a ,,cant miss prospect,,
One would have to convince Montour to come and play those like 20-25 games till the offseason with full motivation and then guarantee him to trade him someplace good for like 2nd and a 3rd rounder?
I think Tippett+Montour+1st would do very nicely as the core of the trade (after some back and forth maybe even + Denisenko ... but I think that big of a package would bite FLA right there)
2. well he hasnt been particuraly great this year ... Eichel kinda was even in Buffalo and boy oh boy did Vegas get him with a lowball offer ... so yeah ... can it happen that Chychrun brings in more of a return than Eichel? sure (though I wouldnt bet on it) ... would it be a wise move? dont think so
3. I dont think TOR needs chychrun with healthy Reilly and Muzzin ... if anything they would need right handed chychrun (like giving up Sandin? why trading him away when he could very well be Chychrun given more time to grow... and not needing to give up like 2-3 1st rounders on top of that)
I dont really think Chychrun would be that big of an upgrade on Muzzin right now also... especially in the playoffs... sure cap would be sweet but cmon.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Dutchies</b></div><div>Tippett has under achieved, and Heponiemi isn't even 150 lbs soaking wet. I can't see those guys being the key pieces.
My guess is ARI would want Weegar instead of Montour, Lundell instead of Tippett and Hepniemi and whatever cap dump forward FLA wants to include along with the picks.</div></div>
Well I dont doubt at all ARI would ask for Lundell ... but come on man ... even they dont think FLA will trade him in next few years ... he is gonna be next Barkov baby!
As for Weegar ... also VERY untradeable ... big part of why FLA is even contending ... if FLA was to trade Weegar they dont need to add anything basically cause they would be basically doing one step forward and at least one back...
I think it doesnt make much sense from sellers to ask contending teams for their key untradeable pieces that are making them contenders in the first place ... just to play **** teasers highballing ... even though everybody knows they will settle for a bunch of futures with a young roster player or two
(agree with both of you in terms of Heponiemi ... but Samoskevich seemed like too much and teams dont really like trading away freshly drafted guys... was thinking about Denisenko as well, though FLA would probably like to keep him as well .... and Noel as an option seemed a lot like Heponiemi to me xD also dont know why cant Hepo bulk up xD)

Montour is nothing to arizona. An expiring contract, and he sucks
Vatrano is a little more than nothing to Arizona. Expiring contract, kinda stinks, but definitely a guy that can overperform if given enough opportunity. Maybe they can talk him into staying.
Heponiemi is nothing.
A 7th is nothing.
A 3rd isn’t nothing, but its not much
Tippett is okay.
In other words, you are worlds away from the return you’re seeking.</div></div>
Montour is signed for 2 more years of 3,5M my dear... you dont remember the expension? he is A body on a blue line surely capable of 25min a night -29+- on a tanking team
Vatrano is necessary for cap reasons also flippable for 3rd/4th rounder at the deadline if you are willing to take on another bad expiring contract ...
Heponiemi is a young body... remember you need 12 of those every night (F)
7th is fun
3rd is 3rd
1st is 1st
Tippett is young hard working forward who could still break out even on ARI (worth AT LAEST a 2nd rounder)
and we go from there
CONCLUSION: sure a lowball but not as big as you obviously thought xD was expecting comment like ... add another 1st and its a deal ... got wise-ass captain obvious AGAIN xD great fun for sure ... get the contracts right next time please

I still remember that 2015 draft ... sometimes you are like ... ok this guy must have had great interview or combine... I thought Zboril was an ok pick at that stage ... maybe a little reach ... then came DeBrusk and I am like what are they doing? probably could have had him or a similiar prospect somewhere in the 2nd round ... and then came Senyshyn pick, my mouth feel open and I was like WHO? that could have been an early 3rd rounder? omg 3 mid first rounders and they got away with Zboril, DeBrusk, Senyshyn? then came some vulgarities probably :D fun day for sure ... as every draft
completely agree with holding out to draft, but I dont think they should withold the trade past the offseason ... the drama usually wont help any team and the guy is IMO starting to lose motivation (sure he plays a ton but cmon being -29? that is too much man... Ghost is having a rebound year on the same team playing like 2,5min less per game, Chychrun is great young guy, great contract, but he obviously needs change of scenery and there are probably no teams willing to pay 3 firsts for him)
some insider said they are looking at Burns trade for comparison
so yea ... not a BOS fan, but Chychrun kinda feels like a good fit on BOS and I wanted to have a little fun with it (been also thinking about MIN ((check how they buyouts line up with Ch. contract, INCREDIBLE fit!)), FLA, NYI, STL, WSH maybe even rebuilders like NJD, ANA, LAK, DET? man there are a lot of suitors...but then again rebuilding teams are not really pushing for it now ... so they are probably willing to play a waiting game as much as ARI, hence I think Chychrun will end up on a contender?)

Chychrun to BOS
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Dutchies</b></div><div>Not sure any of these players are of interest to ARI in a move that includes Chychrun, and honestly no one will see any of them them as a 1st round pick value.</div></div>
never thought of Senyshyn as a real piece ... former 1st rounder ( I was kinda shocked at the draft day ) never got a chance in BOS ... a change could be good for young players, somebody HAS to ,,break,, out and guys, ARI needs SOMEBODY on the roster xD even though they are gonna suck for a couple of years, why not give younger players a chance to become at least smth and see what happens ... also guys I dont think about my trade propositions as final last bids ... this is a forum I am completely open to discussions and looking forward to your tweakings (please realistic ones xD) ... but saying things like senyshyn has no value .... well its kinda obvious and a waste of a comment IMO :) also thought about Vaakanainen and Lysell as potential trade baits...

Hertl to BOS
well they are not tearing it down completely (not with those contracts) so I think of their situation as more of a retool ... better get something for now and for future for Hertl ... they can still play hardball and get more for him ... but Hertl to BOS seems like a natural fit ...and Coyle could bounce back playing in top6 ... + SJS are not gonna attract many free agents as not really a contending team ...

Klingberg to NSH
well I think Klingberg would still bee a solid veteran top4 RD for NSH and as it is they are the only team of potential suitors to have cap space for like 8M extension ... also I really like the idea of Ekholm + Klingberg on the 2nd pair for a couple of years of contending ... resign Forsberg hopefully and lets go for it ... btw not a NSH fan ... and also I have just thrown Knak in last second before posting to spice things up a little

Eichel to NYR
thoughts? (maybe Braden Schneider off .... Brendan Robertson + 3rd pick 2022 on? if Schneider is not enough) but if BUF is playing hardball ... Schneider off Nils Lunqvist on but NYR also adds DeAngelo and BUF adds Montour

well i am new to this ...guess it shows and the colorado deal is meant in a way where EK agrees to an extension ... so I meant 8 full years of EK for that value going back... and honestly i think Samuel Girard instead of Cale Makar is just not enough ....(last thing I wanted to also stress out that reportedly Joe Sakic IS willing to part with chance of Jack Hughes in order to bring either EK or Stone to COL... and I take him for his word for that)
