League standard is usually a 4th or 5th, but these are both much higher tiers of players.
I can understand that the argument would then be "star player rights don't get moved", which is fair, but if they did, lets not pretend a 3rd is far fetched.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Ledge_And_Dairy</b></div><div>Troll post? That wouldn't get Andersson, let alone Mangiapane with retention included</div></div>
I'll note that I don't believe Mangiapane is worth all that much. With retention he's worth more. Still, the winger market is limited. You might argue to just remove him from the trade unless he gets the value you want, and since you won't probably get the value you want for him, I'm fine to replace him with Kuz in this build.
While I really don't think Ras even gets moved, I think its a little bit ludicrous to say that this package wouldn't get Andersson if CGY is truly shopping him. Berggren is really good right now nevermind his upside, the other prospect is a 2nd rounder, and there are high picks. I used Chychrun as my comparable. I think sometimes some Flames fans don't have on-earth value expectations of value for players they like.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>mokumboi</b></div><div>Bro, why are you posting this obvious trolling nonsense? You're better than this.
Dude. Tell me you're being satirical.</div></div>
Let me re-phrase, I don't think it is worth it in Dallas' long term picture to trade for Parayko - makes them too cap strapped and its not their biggest need. I know you valiantly defend Parayko's value and likely non movement for the Blues, nevermind the interdivision aspect, so I don't think there's a trade here anyways. I think a sub 3m vet depth dman, or a project dman is more up Dallas alley... say a Peeke, Tanev or Carrier.

I don't think Parayko is worth this type of return, especially given Nils performance. I think Dallas would benefit more from just a rental or a shorter term guy.

I mean, the trade is massively lopsided in VAN's favor, any downgrade (im not even sure this even is one) for that price is absolutely worth it. That said, no team is paying a 2nd for desmith, even given his good year. He's still a backup, not a starter.

I actually really like Duhaime's fit here, but I greatly disagree with some wild fans that have been pushing him as being worth a 3rd. Feels like an overpay for a down year rental.

signing a guy from UFA next offseason has nothing to do with their interest in a TDL guy. This build does not imply that Detroit is trading for Hanifin.

nothing about this build implies that they are being lost for nothing. it just implies that hanifin isn't extending with whoever trades for him, because I don't see Detroit being a heavy buyer

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>RazWild</b></div><div>And cup contenders have thrown late 1st's around like candy for players of his ilk for the last 5+ years at the deadline. Or does the history of the Goodrow's, Foligno's, Eller's of the world mean nothing to you?
Duhaime is cheaper then them all, which is important in today's cap strapped league, and significantly younger too. But still *fits* into that category. He's not moving for anything less then a 3rd or he'll just be kept. I'm not saying he gets a 1st, but a 3rd is entirely reasonable given past TDL's prices and what he brings to a contender.</div></div>
Those arent comparables at all. Duhaime hasn't produced at all this year, and most importantly against that discussion, he has no term. Last year with controlled rights he would have had more value, but as an expiring UFA who is fit for just a 4th line role, you aren't getting those payments. If he had 2 years term, I would have been more willing to hear out the price of a 3rd, but as if now, that's not his market.

Tdl kakko
While I don't believe Kakko's value is as high as Rangers fans say, I also do not believe it's nearly this low. Flyers trade is fair value wise, but it's not the type of player they'd be after. I am not on board with the rest of the Flyers fandom in thinking they don't need a goalie, but I don't think Allen is the one. I'm glad Harris isn't being overrated though, don't see much reason for MTL to want Nosek, but I think the value is reasonable.

IMO, the answer is a resounding yes.
This is a home run for the Flames.
Calgary win the trade.</div></div>
Probably equivalent, given Jurmo and the 4th carrying relatively small value. Despite Hunter's great year, Raty is still more valuable. I still agree that the early take is CGY winning.

Divisional + Rival tax, plus an apparent last minute offer of the Rangers. It's pricey, especially given the early reports from media. But I can't say it's not a package that is warranted.
Kuzmenko was awesome until the coaching change meant he didn't fit. Lets hope Lindholm is a fit, because Kuzmenko could easily turn it around and make this look lopsided.
Winner TBD

My benchmark for a fair deal on Elias Lindholm is Bo Horvat
ya i agree the benchmark is similar, but not identical.
i think kuz > beauvillier in value tho, beau was more there for the cap, kuz actually should have some value given last year.
Hopefully a slightly lesser prospect than Raty is used to compensate this, plus the fact that Lindholm is on a down year whereas Bo was on a high.

Deal kakko
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>GuentzelvaniaUSA</b></div><div>Guentzel is the type of player people hope laffy become. And he’s got it done when it matters most. I do not presume the penguins would sell Jake guentzel as a rental that’s a ridiculously bad idea. That gets the least amount of value out of the second most valuable player on the team. Pens will not trade Jake guentzel, but if they did it would be sign and trade.
Trading Jake guentzel and rebuilding could also trigger Crosby wanting to cup chase with other teams. Why for gosh sakes would a company buy the pens for a billion dollars and then fumble away the face of the franchise in less than two years? The price of this risk is simply too great for the rangers to convince the penguins.
If you want Jake guentzel, the cost is extreme. I would not suggest trading for him</div></div>
Ya i wont deny the impact moving guentzel will have on the team, but fans of teams love to assume their guys are eager to resign. What if he isnt? What if he walks? Getting nothing for him sure would be a heck of a lot worse for Crosby and the whole team. I don't really think the ball is in Pittsburgh's court here. Their future isn't phenomenal so we cannot assume he's going to stay or even take a sign and trade.
There's a lot of factors here, and I won't even deny that your route could be feasible, but we cannot laugh at offers and say what will/won't happen when we really don't know. In a rental situation, he's not getting Laf.

And the decision to play a 40 goal scoring first line LW Stanley cup winner as a 3rd line RW is WILD. Him being behind Kane and Laffy on this depth chart gotta be one of the goofiest things I’ve seen in a while</div></div>
ok guentzel is in your name so this counter is obviously riddled in bias. i agree that there's a divisional tax, and i agree that the offer is short, but cmon, laf for guentz 1 for 1 would be stupidly lopsided. This counter is 5 times worse than the original. Othmann 1st is the highest I could see the pens getting, and imo that's steep too. Rentals simply do not get massive packages regardless of their upside.
