swap something of surplus for something of need.... a decent bottom six defensive center, something you lack? if anything i feel like i balanced this more towards the leafs.

DRAFT IGINLA PLUS TRADE UP FOR EISERMAN
quick way for utah to lose fans.
armstrong is way too good of a gm to do anything close to this bad.
harris is worth a 3rd. maybe they will move that for him.

Draft move
does harris even crack the wild roster? hes worth somewhere in the realm of a late 2nd to mid 3rd, not enough to make substantial ground in the 1st round.

last thing you want to do is get the same player you guys wanted so badly last year, because so much has changed!
cant say its not the wrong move to avoid him, it definitely is, its just funny how quickly opinions change.

Hronek for Ehlers
hroneks second half definitely hasnt been as good as his first half, but i think this makes our defense way too thin again. cant bank on tanev taking that discount. glad you are a fan of my old jensen swap tho!

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>KrakenTheCode</b></div><div>I don't think Seattle's in a position where paying to dump Burakovsky is a sensible move or one they need to make. His struggles with Seattle over his first two seasons have been injury related. When he's had a consistent run of games with the Kraken he's produced. It's no secret that Seattle needs to boost their scoring, and a healthy Burakovsky would go a long way in that effort. Not to mention, Seattle has a clean enough cap sheet to where they can go shopping for offensive help without needing to dump anyone.</div></div>
i mean, this deal is structured so that they arent paying anything unless he sucks again.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Cub19</b></div><div>Lol bolts gave up like 5 picks for jeannot. This is dumb.</div></div>
the only thing dumb about it is the fact that the bolts gave all of that up. that is one of the worst trades of the past few years, doesnt set the bar for his value.

reactionary, like any marner trade, but of all of the dumb marner trades, i like this (base idea) the most. reality is that it isnt 1 for 1, stars add.

isnt moser a pretty good top 4 dman? like if im the yotes im building my D core around him and durzi, even giving him a long term extension. Feels like a massive underpay, but I could also be out of touch or just too high on him

interesting. wont work in theory because laine def isnt a canes type or RBA type of player, but i think the idea of dumping short term cap for an awful long term contract is decent. both players need a change of scenery and would probably only be moved in an exchange of cap like this

this trade is kinda weird to me. Foligno has a NMC and seems to be settled, and that contract extension honestly sucks. Strange to overpay for someone who, although is good, probably wont trade or move

idk much about those two prospects going back, but this feels like a sharp underpay. Lysell or Poitras not being included probably shuts down the deal.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>tkecanuck341</b></div><div>If the Kings dump Lizotte, it's because they can't afford him. They're not going to take back a more expensive player in Sonny Milano.
I could see a Lizotte for Lindgren trade happening if Talbot and/or Rittich want too much money on an extension, but the Kings aren't adding a draft pick.</div></div>
ive never really seen other teams show as high of value interest for lizotte as the kings fans on this site, so if he is priced out, i dont really see teams paying that much for him. I can understand not wanting milano back here, but I really cant see a team paying more than a 4th/5th for his rights. I sorta see him being unqualified if he isnt moved in a deal like this. Just speculating.

trotz style players
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>AEcho</b></div><div>NSH doesn't touch the Mangiapane deal. He hasn't proven that he is worth that cap hit. Novak has produced more than him and is payed 2.3 mil less than him. He had a career year and signed a big contract on that and then just hasn't lived up to it.
I would also rather just resign Carrier than go after Rutta. But I do like the Walker signing for the right side so NSH can have Schenn as the 7th D.
If NSH could get Gourde retained for that price, I'd be pretty pumped, but I feel like SEA would want more considering how up against the cap they are now and have Berniers to resign among other young forwards.</div></div>
At 1 year the cap shouldnt really play into account that much. He still brings an element that is what Trotz looks for and he fits this system excellently. The player upgrade should still be noteworthy even if he is more of a 4m guy now.

This is what differentiates fan opinion from GM action. Fans don't like giving term to 30 year olds, but that doesnt stop GMs from signing them. Roy feels like a treliving target and a pretty nice slot in for TOR, and given the competition for him he isn't going to come cheap.

the motivation here for vancouver is simply to shed a year of contract. the player skill difference should warrant that value difference.

Looking at him at 4 mil vs 5 makes it a big difference, and the islanders arent giving up more than Wahlstrom and a top 45 pick for that when 1 mil retention will 100% get value
Id get why the Hawks don't do this tho since the only piece of value is the pick</div></div>
garak thinks you need to give up your whole prospect pool for chicago to take money on legit every thread.
