This remotely benefits Buffalo while making Detroit worse pass, I'll take our chances on our bigger more physical players instead.</div></div>
This is a comparison of top prospect pools. Obviously, not a proposed trade. Think before you post.

Yes, Detroit could add a higher prospect group to this and get Hanifan. I think Detroit is at a point of winning more with the younger players instead of waiting too long and corrupting the young guys with losing. Detroit is further ahead than many fans think in my opinion.

Montreal is a lot closer to Detroit than LA is. Mind you Dubois plays like a Beta male most of the time so maybe the old lady wants him gone so that she have fun with his money in a modern relationship.

Flames have huge organizational depth problems up front, should have a lot more $$ with the number of NHL forwards that they are missing.

They could do worse than TMac.
He's an excellent head coach.</div></div>
Young teams need a good veteran goalie/defenseman to take the edge off of worrying about making mistakes. Once that happens Buffalo should be a long time contender.

The two young defensemen would never see NHL ice time on the Kings so in the whole package only one piece would be utilized making everything else irrelevant. Turcotte or Lizzotte are not suitable for centering the third and fourth lines for the Kings to make a playoff run, if Monahan were involved in the trade it might gain some traction considering he's a suitable replacement for PLD. But as I'm sure you know he is no long a Canadian so there is nothing plugging the hole PLD would be leaving behind if he got traded creating another problem for the Kings. So not only are the Kings losing the player value trade but the versatility of line usage in game as well.</div></div>

I originally had Monahan instead of Pearson but he just got traded to Winnipeg. With 2.8 million and Kayliev, Turcotte, Armia/Pearson at half price, LA could get another center if Byfield is not good enough.

At least get the depth to try to win now. LA pissed Vilardi away but this is basically the same as what they gave up otherwise, same if Vilardi was kept in LA as a third liner. After Columbus and Winnipeg and now the lack of production, I would be moving on before the no move kicks in. This is of course fantasy, there is no way in hell Montreal or anyone else gives up this much for Dubois. I would take the defensive depth, good veterans, Arvidsson back and a few million in cap any day.

He didn't like going back to AHL. He won't be traded, he is too good. Also, a young guy being ambitious is cool, I am surprised hockey fans are not over-reacting by calling him a selfish, baby that is a cancer and bad teammate that Laine influenced haha

He mentioned before the last Jets Columbus game that he wonders what could have been if he was not added to the Laine trade. Anyway, he is a free agent at the end of the year and can go anywhere he wants. He probably knows what he is and isn't in the NHL, and any competitor would go to a playoff team especially when he can go anywhere that wants him in a few months.
