Lineup for game 3
I know both guys did something bad but you cant afford not to have one of them in to keep the stars safe.
Got a feeling Clifford is in game 3 and Blackwell is swapped for Spezza

It could very well happen.
Elliotte Friedman says that the Leafs are hoping that Zach Hyman could potentially come back to them. They offered him an 8-year deal at a lower AAV.

If they do this I'm changing teams for the season. This isn't a 2019 Tampa situation, this isn't a team that wins.

Hard pass. The leafs should not be spending assets like that to upgrade at wing.

Looks good! Just a side note... Schneider played LD in the WJC and performed very well, so I'm guessing that he'd be the one to play LD and Lundkvist would play RD. I wonder what the Rangers would receive in trade for DeAngelo and Georgiev. I also believe Howden will be on the team.

Lundkvist actually plays some PP on the left side with Lulea. He is good offensively there so maybe it's a toss up!

Confirms the 21 man roster theory, unless they trade Kerfoot so they can have a 23 man roster. 7 Dmen, so if a forward gets injured they have to play 11 forwards until they can use an emergency callup. Knowing the Leafs, one or more of the big ticket players will spend time on the LTIR just so they can use their full roster.

Great signing for Dubas, he did a great job with Mikheyev and Dermott imo.

Detroit
I don't think Kerfoot is worth a 2nd AND a 3rd, maybe a 2nd to a team with multiple 2nds.
The Wings C Depth is woof. Kerfoot is not a 2nd line C, he is properly slotted as a 3C.
I expect Det to deal with TB, perhaps Tyler Johnson as 2C would work well. Why the heck is Det allergic to Right Shot forwards? Only Glendenning on the NHL roster and only 2 in the prospect pool, including those on the reserve list.
That is a major issue for the franchise IMO.

How good
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Vaher28</b></div><div>How about 2 2nds and a prospect (don't know much about your prospect pool)</div></div>
Honestly 2 2nds is good value if you ask me. I wouldn't pay much more than that for the both of them. Additionally, I'd rather not trade for Georgiev. The Rangers very much overvalue him, and if I'm the Sharks, I'd rather just pick up someone like Greiss or Khudobin in free agency without having to pay anything. But that aside, if you'd want us to add a prospect as well, it would have to be a pretty low ceiling one. We can't afford to get rid of any C-tier or better prospects.

Alexis and Tampa
Seems like an overpayment for JP to me, it would probably make sense to trade Kravtsov to Tampa in place of the two seconds because you would have to give them up in the cap dumps.

COL isn’t giving a 1st for Kapanen, one forty point season doesn’t fetch you a 1st. Maybe a 2nd and a 3rd(w/conditions that could make it a 2nd).

Hall
It seems doubtful that there will be a compliance buyout, so I expect Holland will hold onto Neal for another season and Tippett will give him limited ice time in the bottom six, with some power play time added in. This severely limits Holland's ability to sign top-tier talent, so he will need to focus on his key RFAs, and then go bargain shopping.
Under normal circumstances, Kris Russell would be movable. He's a serviceable 5-6 NHL defender who brings veteran leadership and is well liked in the locker room. A flat cap presents a huge problem though. Russell's $4,000,000 hit limits the possible trade partners and his modified NTC further complicates matters. The only realistic scenario is a trade with a budget team, with plenty of cap space, in a city that is acceptable to the player. Although they don't have the cap space, I think Arizona could be a fit . Something like Russell and Khaira (or Chiasson) for Derek Stepan might work. All players involved have contracts that expire after the next season. That deal would give Arizona a bit more cap space, save the team at least $2,850,000 real dollars, and provide them with some veteran leadership. Edmonton would get a declining right handed 3C, with a net impact on its cap space that isn't hugely different than signing Sheahan at the salary he's demanding. They could accommodate that extra hit by bridging Bear, or signing Athanasiou to a one-year deal.
In comparison to the NYR deal, I'd rather see Holland get a player that can definitely help now and an additional asset that may soften the sting if JP flourishes with his new team. A team like Pittsburgh is in a "win-now" situation, so they may be prepared to roll the dice on that kind of deal. Puljujarvi might attract a return like Casey DeSmith and a pick or prospect.
Athanasiou had only a few games to adjust to his new environment. Holland gave Yzerman two 2nd round picks for AA, he'd have to get at least that back if he were to move him. The guy has proven top-six talent, I think you are giving up on him way too early.
I don't see the point in signing Gravel, Holland already has plenty of options that provide defensive depth. Lagesson springs to mind immediately, Lennstrome and Bouchard are also likely candidates as the season progresses.
Forget about Holtby and Hall, signing either is simply not realistic. Holtby will want a long-term deal with a pay increase, and Holland already has Koskinen accounting for $4,500,000, he can't afford Holtby. Hall is a play-driving puck-possession beast, and so is McDavid. Edmonton would be better off looking for a complimentary forward, a guy who is a shooter and goal scorer.
