Thanks for pointing out I'm a Flames fan to him. Not even a fan of the Devils anyways. Agreed though. Gav is basically for Bahl and the 5th round pick is conditional but also a throw in to get the deal done.

Agreed but I think Ferraro will be out so that SJ can continue the rebuild and he could give the same return that Tanev does for the Flames or Seeler with the Flyers imo. Hertl is hard to tell if he'll stay but if he does 100% I see him as next Captain.

Not a fan of TOR but I see what your saying. I would've picked Marner but he might not be around long if they don't get him an extension when the time comes. TBH I don't know really for TOR cause I never saw Reilly as a Captain for them. Nylander is not captain material but maybe assistant captain and only other player I'd put in the running is Domi but that's a long shot at best.

Yeah it's true I went that route with quite a few teams but you also don't want 4th liners to be your C like in BUF. The C needs to either be on the top 2 lines as a forward or maybe the 3rd if your team just that good and on the top 2 D pairings if he's a D man.

CGY is getting younger and having Chisholm would 100%make them younger and would get more play time in CGY since Jets D core is hard to crack. Example would be Heinola. If CGY got Chisholm we could move on from Hanifin or Tanev and start the process of rebuilding/retooling.

I already dislike the Oilers and now I don't like them more. Never liked Corey Perry, E. Kane, Nurse and I'm not liking McDavid since he gets away with almost anything cause of his stardom and he brings revenue to the sport. Now that they have Perry EDM will reach cup finals and lose just like DAL and MTL did when they had Perry on their team. They can have the Perry curse.

Great for Nylander but man TOR is gonna be screwed for a long time with cap. I agree Nylander is worth a big contract but maybe in a different market. Sure he's making 11.5m but with how bad taxes are in Toronto it'll be more like 9 mil which is less than M. Tkachuk with the FLA no tax state. TOR needs to trade 1 of the big 4 for an Elite D man and/or a solid goalie. Lots of big guns up front but not really on the back end. Reilly is good but he's not elite.

Hanifin and Anderson are from the same draft. IMO I'd keep Weeger and Anderson and trade Hanifin since he wanted out in the first place and would like to play in a American market again. Tanev we could trade and get a good haul for him maybe a first round pick.
