(NYR/DET) - Staal and 2021 2nd RD pick for future considerations
Marc was awesome for the Rangers for so many years. Gonna miss him. It's gonna be weird to see him in a Red Wings uniform.

I dont want Deangelo personally and i think it would take more for NYR to move him. Tierney is worth way more than this,

We aren't trading a first for a cap dump. We are still rebuilding.

For both teams. The Hurricanes got 2 2nds for a pending UFA. The real loser here is Calgary.

(TBL / NYR) - McDonagh, Miller for Namestnikov, Hájek, Howden, 1st, 2nd
Tampa loads up for cuprun(s) and NYR kickstarts their rebuild with a massive haul. Imho it's a fair deal.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>THISACCOUNTISGONE</b></div><div>So heres how it could go:
We package Hank and the Carolina 2020 1st to Ottawa, a team with a lot of cap and rebuilding, for a 6th round pick. When Hank is on ottawa, they buy him out in full, giving the rangers 8.5 mil off the books and giving ottawa another 1st in a very deep draft. After he is bough out, we either sign him for cheap like 1 mil for 1 year or give him a front office spot after he goes to sweden to play with his brother. Win win in my mind. What do yall think? <a href="/users/KakkoForMauriceRichardAward" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@KakkoForMauriceRichardAward</a> <a href="/users/Sagecoll" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@Sagecoll</a></div></div>
Its not worth it. I love hank i want him to retire as a ranger as much as the next guy. However, assuming we have geroge and igor is he just going to play 3rd string again? Also this draft is too good to trade 22OA pick for a cap dump when worst case scenario he can just either retire or get bought out.

(EDM / NYR) - Spooner for Strome
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ON3M4N</b></div><div>I give Spooner 3 more years in the NHL before he's done. He'll finish out this contract, someone will take a gamble on him for a year and when he still doesn't pan out, that'll be it for him. Like I said when Boston traded him, he's a good 3rd line wing/PP specialist that doesn't know what the defensive zone is. He's a streaky winger that will look like a P/GP player and then go ice cold for a quarter of the season.</div></div>

Is it possible oilers need a goalie
Ya agreed with the above. First is way too much. It wouldn’t be as laughable of a situation if the goalie market wasn’t as plentiful as it is. Unfortunately for any team looking to move a goalie it’s just horrible timing no reason to pay full value.

I think the OP included Matheson and his horrendous contract going back the Rangers way to offset some of the cost but I agree with you that something that must include two of Chytil, Kravtsov, Lundkvist, Miller, etc. plus a first round pick.

Strome is not signing a 2 year deal when he 1 year away from UFA and his last payday contract. He is either signing for 1 year or 6+, especially at that number. He has no incentive whatsoever to sell a UFA year that cheap and risk missing out on a big contract.
Signing Tony to a 2 year deal that walks him straight to UFA is also very silly. Sign him to a 1 year deal that keeps him RFA at the end or a long term deal at a lower AAV.
