You have to massivly overpay to get konecny. your og trade is fair in value but its almost gonna cost you another first to actually land him due to the fact that he wants to stay and flyers have really no reason to trade him besides him being 2 years to old

Final Tweaks
I dont understand this from a Flyers perspective.
first, why do we want Jamie Benn?
why would we give up Konecny for Laf at this stage (without aditional picks). TK is not ancient and will still have good years left when the rebuild is finished.
Everyone knows the timeline for the flyers, why get 2025 picks and 2026 picks when michkov potentially comes over in 3 years. those kids in 2025 and 26 will not be ready by then.
The Laughton deal makes sense but only because its a massive overpayment for laugthon.
I rather hold on to coots if the only thing im getting is a 2025 first and Heineman.
The Nsh trade is also very weird, Fedotov is an elite KHL Goalie, on top of that we send a 2nd and Dvorak for 3 rds? if Dvorak is that expensive to get rid of why get him in the first place.

Impossible but hey
This trade seems like robbery, Seguin is a 50 pt 31 yo player at 7,85 mil you get 2 good players in their prime and upgrade a pick? Surely Seguin has close to 0 value on the market especially at that cap hit and for 4 more years. On top of that seguin dont waive his NMC to go to boston.
Boston would probably want alot more in return in order to even entertain this IMO

4 Big Moves to End the Offseason
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TMLBRIAN</b></div><div>Fair enough! What did you think of the other trades? I personally think they work for all teams involved.</div></div>
Tk to isles is ok, I talked myself into believing that TK is more elite than we give him credit for. Value is fair but i want more quality (dont care about a 2026 3rd). say not top 10 protected and a 2024 2nd instead of 2025. still not sure its a great idea to trade TK if he want to resign though.
Same with the tippett deal. Value is proably good but we want to be good in 3 years when Michkov hopefully comes over, a 2026 2nd rounder does nothing for me (because its gonna take another 3 years before the kid is ready)
The Buffalo deal i think is pretty good. however its kind of the same thing as mentioned above, the return will most likely never be as good as Hart. However we have depth and good prospects so the deal is fine by me. Dont think the flyers would do it because its not "blowing Briere away"
The Toronto deal is pretty bad imo. Seeler is a very good defensive defenseman and i think match the value on Timmins (as a third pair guy any team should prefer seeler imo) Laughton for a first and Robertson is fine but flyers are probably looking for more than that and sumping Murray will cost more than a 2026 3rd
All deals are good in terms of value but i dont think the flyers will be better in three years compairing to if we keep everything

maybe Ciarelli and Toffoli or Owen Tippet

why would the flyers move a 2024 2nd for a 2025 2nd without additional cost and when they just got that pick a month ago?

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>AquaticOwl</b></div><div>So Konecny, 5 years older than Raymond, coming off a career season in which he put up just 4 more points than Raymond's rookie season, is worth the two best young forwards on our roster, plus 4 more young players, AND a 2nd and 3rd? Figure it out.</div></div>
Tk had a career year without a crazy shooting% and with only 53% ozone starts and on a flyersteam without much talent. TK is more elite than given credit for. Raymond have been very good so far but he is getting very easy minutes with almost 60% o zone starts. As of this season TK is probably alot better than raymond. the rest of the offer is very whelming for the Flyers.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>NHLLGRW</b></div><div>Send me some trash players back from the AHL then</div></div>
You could do this but i rather just getting to a more neat trade where quality is valued over quantity.
so something like
Tk for Raymond, Buchelnikov/Buium and 2024 2nd (i know its been traded in this case)

From an outsiders perspective:
i see Zadorov is being a notable piece in calgary and will be needed if calgary get their **** sorted, if not they probably want younger future assets. The leafs return doesnt make sense in either case. (its a videogame trade where you are just matching value and not looking at it from cgys perspective)
Calgary cant do anything tradewise at the moment.
Capspace is the most valuable asset this year and even retentionspots come TDL. id say just using a retention spot is worth a 2nd alone for teams with capspace because of the potential value the slots bring.
so atm there is no reasonable return but a first with the retention if there arent any other big pieces in the trade

Probably more than fair but Philly's brass seems higher on him than what most'll assume.</div></div>
Detroit can send bostons or detroits first which make this pick alot worse atleast +20 probably in the 25-32 range. there for flyers decline this trade

My point is that connor is a ppg player and is probably worth Cossa and Soderblom alone (if not more) and Hellebuyck is not equal in value to Husso imo.

Flyers Accept.
Seems like Flyers got more from detroit than WPG got which is a bit wierd since Hellebuyck is worth helle more than TDA and Deslauriers and TK and Connor is worth pretty much the same for argument sake.
Detroit would probably have add atleast a first for wpg to accept

i think this offer is far from what flyers accept.
Konecny is worth alot more than Jokiharju, a 2025 1st and a 2024 2nd. olofsson adds zero value, östlund and UPL is nowhere near enough for hart and you get seeler for free!?
you want elite pieces without giving up anything of "real value"
my counter proposal would be Hart and TK for Savoie/Quinn, JJ Peterka a 2024 first and a 2024/2025 2nd and cap dump to make the deal worth
Tk for Savoie/Quinn and a 2nd and hart for JJ and 1st.
Flyers are dealing from a position of strength and dont have to move either piece since both are happy to be here.

Cool
wont be similar because of 1. the contract situation, ADB was RFA konecny have 2 years left at 5,5 mil and 2. Flyers are happy to keep TK and TK is happy to stay in philly. Ottawa was dealing from a position of weakness and Flyers are dealing from a position of strength. This deal is not close and philly would probably want like Raymond + first in return in a tk deal or in that ballpark atleast.

Konecny
i think the flyers deal is ok in terms of value, however flyers want a massive overpay to accept a Konecny deal and im not sure this is it. Neither Thompson or Brännström have shown anything at the nhl level at a age where you might expect them to make an impact. and the pick is most likely bostons 1st since its the worse pick between det and bos if im not mistaken.
I would probably take the Ott pick instead of detroit (detroitpick is worth less than ott because of the conditions) but keep some lotteryprotection and/or maybe upgrade the one of the prospect.

Win-Win with Philly
dont think Flyers accept, the conditions on the detroit pick make it a pretty weak first rounder and Brännström is not a high enough quality to make the deal worth it for philly.
Also dont think any team would retain 500k this year. Retention slots is a prime asset this year for rebuilding teams.
its a close deal but Flyers dont have to move TK, i think he is pretty ok with staying a Flyer.

Since Hayes was worth a 6th it sounds like Sanheims value is/was Krug and a first. say that translates to schmidt + the first. is Heinola (who is yet to break into the NHL) really worth a first.
i Know WPG 1st is 18th and the pick from STL wouldve propably been 25th or 29th. but is it really worth shipping Sanheim to move up 4 spots?
You might do it if Perreault or Benson slips in the draft otherwise i dont see the huge upgrade in moving up
