But no one can replace the 24+ min per game. The leafs defence was already really average and rasmus sandin is not ready to play in Nhl at all. And even if reilly isn’t a really good defender, he had improve enough under Babcock to be efficient defensively. Wasn’t great but he could stand is ground.

That why i am not high on max domi. He haven’t show consistency in is game this year at all. Then when he start hitting a slump he start to cheap in defensive zone and start making bad turnovers. He cost us at least 5 game with is poor decisions making this year. And i am very conservative with that number. The devils game who he took 6 min of oenalty in the third period, against edmonton when he had to turnover on the offensive blue line who went for goal. That the type of inconsistency he have shown us this year

Are you serious? The kids is 21 year old. And he is dominant in the Ahl and the Canes had already 6 defenseman sign for Nhl so no room for him in the top 4. They left him in the ahl because they wanted him to play minutes. If you don’t know about the kids don’t bashed him. He would be the best lefthanded defenseman in montreal. He could really help chiarot on the left side since montreal don’t have any good left handed dman

The season is doomed, you gave a shat about Price feeling or Weber feeling both want to win the cup, if trading petry to get there i think they must move on from him. They need to trade both petry and tatar and go for young prospect and pick. Why keep living in denied, Montreal must continue is rebuilt to be competitive for a long period. Mtl have already a lot of good pieces but they must keep adding young promising talent.

With the way he is playing, he's going to want a long term high AAV deal on his next contract. Domi proved to us what he could do last year. Now that's he having an average season, it's time to lock him up long term on a medium AAV deal. 8 years at 6.5 or something along those lines.</div></div>
If mtl do that we will visit the lottery draft more often then the playoff. Domi is not the solution for the habs. This year he has been a completely different player. The one he was in arizona, way too often you don’t see him on ice he start to look like Galchenyuk.

Domi is most often invisible in the offensive zone in puck pursuit and lack back checking. Droping the glove once at a time isnt playing with grit. You underrate a lot jonas brodin or you overate Domi in both case the value proposed here is already a excellent deal for domi. Inwould rather keep tatar on long term extension then domi.

That why montreal get matthews boldy to balance thing out. Boldy is olaying for a stacked boston college team. He doesn’t play a lot on special team and is use as a third line role this years. That doesn’t mesn he is bad the kid have a very good potentiel.

THE FINAL PIECE TO THE PUZZLE FOR DUBAS
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TMLSage</b></div><div>I agree to disagree with you on how well the Canes are going to do without Dougie Hamilton who is an NHL Allstar. Last time I checked they had lost their last 3 games and signed back Justin Williams which seems to show a little bit of concern within the team. The Canes had a much better defence last year with Justin Faulk over Gardiner and Edmundston. Best part of the Canes is actually Rod Brind'Amour who is a tremendous motivator and player's coash who lets his players play the game. You might be right about Canes fortunes but really think they caught alot of teams by surprise last year and their party is comming to an end.</div></div>
I would be more surprise if the canes miss the playoff then if the leafs do. Reilly mean much more to the leafs then hamilton to the canes

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jamiepo</b></div><div>So losing Hamilton doesn’t hurt their offence? That makes no sense. Yes one of their biggest problems is between the pipes. I’m not even sure what your argument is here...</div></div>
On the lastest news hurricanes still have aho, shevchnikov and teuvarainen who are all over the 40 point mark. They have 6 forward with 10 + goal and 10 players with 20+ point. I mean this is a spread offense, sure hamilton will have a affect but its not as bad as you think. I mean hamilton isnt the motor of the team. The canes still have enough depth to continue without him. Gardiner can take the powerplay duties.
You are talking about hamilton like is the second coming of bobby orr. It’s not like he was the only players who was having succes in carolina.

THE FINAL PIECE TO THE PUZZLE FOR DUBAS
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TMLSage</b></div><div>I think you do not undertand that the Canes had a Cinderella season last year and the team rallied around their goofly Storm Surge after Cherry called them out. Dougie Hamilton is a major force and contributor to the team's success last year and his absence is going to cause the Canes ship to take on alot of water and start to sink. Also think they were crazy to trade Justin Faulk. The fact that they just signed Justin Williams as UFA to come back shows there are alot more concerns about this team that you are acknowledging.</div></div>
The canes was maybe a surprise last year but this year no one is surprised by this team. They have one of the best defense in the entire league. With slavin, pesce, hamilton,Edmundston, fleury, gardiner, van riemsdyk and offensively they have some really good yound players. Aho teuvarainen shevchnikov and they had a dzingel haula with the emergence of martin necas. This team is for real, they can score goal and can play defense. Dougie Hamilton was having a good season but this team have plenty of depth to replace him.
The leafs should be seller Since reilly is out for 2 month. Is the exact same reasoning that you have here for the canes.
It is absolutely no surprise that williams is back with the team. Everyone knows that williams would come back with the canes for the playoff strech. There no big deal over that announcement. You don’t seem to realize that the canes have the same amount of point that the maple leafs. They have a +23 ratio for goal score and allowed that is good for the 7th place in the league. Not bad for a cinderella team. I think that you just don’t watch enough of hockey outside of the maple leaf to realize of how good the Carolina Hurricanes is.

Maybe Hamilton isn’t the backbone of the defence but there offence seems to be hurt.</div></div>
And you arrived to that conclusion in one game? There offence will be find without hamilton. He was good for them clearly but he isnt the reason the cane have success. They have a lot of depth up front behind aho shevchnikov and teuraveinen and on defense their are stack. Their biggest issues is between the pipes
