Mikheyev Question
When Mrazek and Mikheyev return and the Leafs need to open up cap space, it will likely be Engvall who gets moved (unless Kase is going to be out for a little bit). Mikheyev would take Engvall's spot and maybe play some 2PP.
Engvall has played well, and should have enough of a market to get the Leafs something in return, but I think Keefe is fine with the Leafs moving on from him if he is just going to sit in the press box.

JVR and more
Leafs pass. They'd want 18 or 20 if Dermott is involved.
McLeod is not in bust territory yet, but he does not have enough value on his own to command a proven young NHL defenseman who could comfortably be a #4 on a number of teams right now, and still has upside to be more than that.

Leafs wheeling and dealing
Leafs would pass on all of them for bad value except for Dell. I don't think they would do the Dell one though.

Is this worth it for Josh Manson
Leafs would never give up a package like that for a guy like Manson. He's not worth that much.

Manson trade
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>AFOX10900</b></div><div>While that's better than most proposals on here, I still don't see the ducks doing it, unless they're really really high on one of the RHD specs, bc they don't need any more middle 6 forwards, they already have Kase Terry Steel Ritchie Lundestrom Comtois Silf Rico and maybe guys like BOG Morand Sprong or Sherwood coming up/here for a while (assuming Raks Zegras and one of the previously named guys or a 2020 pick are the top line), and while yes, Johnsson/Kap/Kerfoot would be upgrades over some of them, <strong>it's not worth downgrading their literal only competent RHD man </strong>for a maybe who likely won't be as good in the future, for a slight upgrade at an already crowded position that's why (for me at least) it has to be Lilja coming back, there's just nothing else that makes remote sense (obv if TOR wanted to give like Nylander it smth I'd accept in a heartbeat lol) like I get that TOR fans don't want to move him, but ANA also has no need for anyone but him (also I don't see him as a future elite top pairing guy like most leafs fans seems to think)</div></div>
That is the main hookup with any kind of Manson trade. Anaheim may not be willing to move him for anything less than overpayment, which the Leafs are not going to do right now. In terms of value, barring an overpayment or Manson having another career year, I doubt Anaheim will find better for him in a trade. It could definitely get worse though as he starts getting older, burning term on his contract, and continues to have some weaker years.

Manson trade
I would say if there is a deal to be done for Manson, it is going to be one of Johnsson/Kerfoot/Kapanen + Lindgren/Rasanen/Kokkonen (RD prospect not named Liljegren) + a 2nd. I don't see the Leafs (or any other team for that matter) paying more than that for Manson right now. Anaheim may decide it's not enough and just sit on Manson.
Bracco will likely be used to shore up the goaltending position.
Leafs can sell Ceci to a contender to recoup a pick they trade in one of their other deals.

Riley McKay signs
He's pretty much a goon. As someone who watched him playing in Spokane, he's not a bad player and may be able to carve out a career as a 4th liner at some point, but he doesn't have the skill to be anything like Domi. That comparison is like comparing pretty much any kind of prospect with all-around ability and a grit to Domi.
The fact that he doesn't even have a PPG as an OA in the WHL is telling enough. There is a good chance the guy doesn't even earn an ELC.

apparently this is the price for georgiev
Georgiev is not worth that much. If we gave up more than Bracco, Hutch and maybe a mid-late round pick for him, I would be surprised.
There are other cheap options for the Leafs.

Copley would not be. The guy has little trade value, and there are a bunch of other deals the Leafs could explore to upgrade their backup position without giving up a 3rd for an overpaid mediocre (at best) goalie. If we wanted to keep a mediocre backup, we would have just kept Garret Sparks for 350k less on the cap.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TopLineTom43</b></div><div>Kaskisuo looks like he could be a solid goalie. Probably wouldn’t want to waste him as a backup. Smart move would be to let him play in the ahl and keep developing his skills and playing more games.
Copley vs Hutchinson.
Copley nhl numbers last year
29gp (25gs) 16-8-3 2.98gga .901s% 1so
Hutchinson
5gp (4gs) 0-3-1 4.25gga .885sv% 0so
I would say anything is better than Hutchinson currently. Copley’s numbers are very solid. Needless to say I disagree with you on him being worse. To each their own</div></div>
Regardless, Copley is practically worthless because he's overpaid and not great. If Washington likes him as their #3, that's great. We don't need another #3 when we already have two. We need a legit backup.

The Leafs would use Kaskisuo before trading a 3rd for a guy who is worse than what they currently have.

Stars Upgrade and Toronto Sheds Cap
Leafs easily say no. Zaitsev is not a cap dump, and it has already been said that Dubas is not going to trade him if that is how he is valued.
You want him, pay a 2nd or Faska (and then we can trade Kadri for a defenseman). Otherwise, you won't be getting him.

A lot of holes in this IMO. First, a lot of wishful thinking. Second, still a very weak lineup.
