Insane.
Move the captain for a declining defenceman with term and then lose Marner without a replacement. Crouse is a 3rd liner on a good team.

And by decent you mean sufficiently bad enough for the leafs that it makes you happy. To think a "fair deal" for Marner is a 3rd pair 6/7 defenceman and a middle 6 forward plus a 3rd, well that's just absolutely ridiculous. Just flat out admit you hate TO more than you like hockey, it's crystal clear with your response.

Well I am a firm believer that there aren't any real leaf fans posting AGM's anymore. They are almost all bad and the posters who claim to be leaf fans spend their whole time just insulting leaf fans who call them out while pandering to leaf haters. It's just dumb

25 year olds who played 20+ minutes a night on a playoff team are worthless eh? Same with 22 year olds who scored more than most at a per minute basis. This site is so dumb.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>LuckyMoneyPuck</b></div><div>If Järnkrok was the player you claim he is you wouldn't be trading him. So lets just end that right there. Teams don't trade value players. But he's not.
Liljegren is a run of the mill 3rd pairing guy who is not that good. If he was again you'd be keep a value defenseman on a cheap contract. Believe me in the cap era teams love value contracts. Instead you are shipping him out to replace him with FA. Please tell me why that is? Is it the crest on his sweater... and yes they wear sweaters and not Jersey.
Look I know it's hard to be honest about guys on your team. That's hard for a lot of people on here apparently. I'm pretty honest about what a player is and isn't.
There is no sense in beating around the bush on it. Believe me I don't give POJ, Ludvig, Shea, or Ivany and leeway on the penguins. The whole lot of them suck and aren't worth a damn.
Acceptance is the first step to recovery as they say.
Don't think I view other teams any different.</div></div>
Except one team is a playoff team and the other wasn't. Perhaps having better depth guys like Kampf and Jarnkrok helped the Leafs win more games than Pittsburgh did with inferior depth. For only having bad players and cap dumps, they seem to win a lot in the regular season.

I don't think I would trade him. I like Jarnkrok. Liljegren absolutely better not be traded, he's got upside as well.

Do yourself a favor, instead of getting all bent out of shape about it, be honest with yourself and maybe one day you'll make a decent trade on here.</div></div>
Lol just angry eh? Liljegren is a 25 year old who played 20 minutes a night down the stretch for a playoff team. He's an RFA as well but he's a cap dump. Why? The crest on his jersey. Jarnkrok? Swiss army knife can play anywhere and find success at 2.1 million and scores 30-40 points a year. Cap dump.
I do admit Kampf at his cap hit is excessive but he's a valuable player. Extremely good defensively, a good penalty killers and works hard every shift. He's likely lower value wise in a trade but he isn't without value, I absolutely bet multiple teams would want him for cheap. He's a very good 4c

There are several goalies better than Binnington. He's not even top 10. Career .908 sv%. Guys not all that special. But Blues fans on here are bigger homers than anyone else. Binnington has won every Vezina in their minds. Just like Parayko is the best defenceman in the game and Buchnevich is the best forward in the world as well.

Canes probably pass 2nd trade too. Kuznetsov isn't a dump, why are you retaining and adding so much for a 3rd liner? There's this misunderstanding on what Kuzy is, would rather just keep him than lose a 1st and Gunler for Kakko.
Stephenson and Kakko over Guentzel is a decision... especially because an extension is apparently close if the Canes want it. WAY too much for Jarvis, even on an 8 year deal, that's too much. Jarvis has to get bridged. Chatfield can jump into a volcano, Martinook's probably going to have to take a discount.
Nikshin is under KHL contract this year, he can't come across until the the end of the season</div></div>

Jones was vilified in Chicago not long ago because he hasn't been playing up to his contract. He isn't even worth 7.5. this trade makes plenty of sense.
To say Chicago laughs and hangs up is such a weird response. you're a nobody. Who are you to act like you know what they're gonna do? You think your a bowman? Lol c'mon man
Relax on the aggressiveness, it's not like the trade was offensive. You get a top 10 player in the league and he goes to market thats smaller than Toronto. You also get a first round pick defenseman that by no means has been a bust.
And like buddy said- any trade Mitch does comes with an extension. They don't have to make it clear. Mitch has a no move. He's only going to approve a trade if he wants to sign. There long term...</div></div>
