-To combine the Dadonov/Drouin trades into one bullet point: Neither Pittsburgh nor the Oilers have enough cap space to add these guys, so it's a moot point, but I also can't see any teams really having an appetite for these guys at their cap hit & production combo. At best, Montreal might have to send out an asset to another team for double retention to get back a better one (ie, Montreal retains $2.75M on Drouin, sends a 5th to Anaheim for $1.375M in retention, and then sends Drouin at a $1.375M cap hit to a contender to get back a 3rd.)

-I can't imagine Minnesota giving up their goalie of the future for an upgrade at LD3 (which is all a fully retained Edmundson would be to them). They've got Jonas Brodin & Jacob Middleton signed this year & next, so it's not even like Edmundson would bump up to LD2 next year, like some other potential destinations. Easy pass from the Wild.

-No one is giving you anything for the Armia contract. It would cost assets to move it out at this point; seeing as you're running a 21 man roster here with nearly $18M in cap space, just keep Armia in the press box and call it a day.

-Cal de Haan has basically given replacement-level performance on a sub-$1M deal - basically all that Carolina could ask for out of an LD3 they signed in September. Savard has term, gets paid $3.5M, and has been sub-replacement level - why are the Hurricanes adding a 1st to this deal for a player they don't need and who is actively worse than the guy they're trading away?

-Craig Anderson is somehow rocking a .923 SV% with a 2.61 GAA; UPL is at .892 and 3.47. Jake Allen is at .894 and 3.52. Tell me why Buffalo is giving up asset for him?
