Next season
Hard to imagine Minnesota trading Matt Boldy for anyone other than Nick Suzuki.

How about the value here. Is it totally whack?</div></div>
If this trade was 2 years ago, I’d say it’s solid value. I just don’t know how much Covid has affected Rossi’s trajectory

Canucks can get cap savings while also not getting fleeced in a trade. Reports are saying that the Canucks can get a good return if they trade Boeser with retention. This is not a good return. Schenn himself returns a second or third round pick at least.

Not gonna cut it for Schenn and Boeser. Also how is SJ getting a better return for the retention lol

Dumba
I would take it if that's the best offered. Guerin wouldn't, but I would. But before that I would ask for a Mittelstadt+1st or Mittelstadt+2nd+prospect. And make sure I can't get a better offer elsewhere.

Rumors Persist
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>MNBassman</b></div><div>Would you consider a 1:1 with Addison and Boeser a fair deal?
I’m less concerned about the future of the Wild’s middle after reading the recent Athletic article about Rossi. Would I still prefer a center, absolutely, but taking a chance on Boeser (considering the price) might be a better way for the Wild to spend their assets…
All I know for sure is Boldy needs someone to play with!</div></div>
No, I think Addison has more value. From a pure point production standpoint he is very similar to Boeser this year and he'll probably cost $3M AAV at the most next season with more team control while Boeser is older, plays a less premium position, and has a much higher cap hit.
If we can make the money work I wouldn't mind adding Boeser, but I wouldn't be super happy about using Addison as the chip to get him unless there's something else coming back.

Think Vancouver would have to add a decent amount here (maybe a 2nd?), but it's an interesting base. Still would rather use those two to try and get some help down the middle though.

-To combine the Dadonov/Drouin trades into one bullet point: Neither Pittsburgh nor the Oilers have enough cap space to add these guys, so it's a moot point, but I also can't see any teams really having an appetite for these guys at their cap hit & production combo. At best, Montreal might have to send out an asset to another team for double retention to get back a better one (ie, Montreal retains $2.75M on Drouin, sends a 5th to Anaheim for $1.375M in retention, and then sends Drouin at a $1.375M cap hit to a contender to get back a 3rd.)
-I can't imagine Minnesota giving up their goalie of the future for an upgrade at LD3 (which is all a fully retained Edmundson would be to them). They've got Jonas Brodin & Jacob Middleton signed this year & next, so it's not even like Edmundson would bump up to LD2 next year, like some other potential destinations. Easy pass from the Wild.
-No one is giving you anything for the Armia contract. It would cost assets to move it out at this point; seeing as you're running a 21 man roster here with nearly $18M in cap space, just keep Armia in the press box and call it a day.
-Cal de Haan has basically given replacement-level performance on a sub-$1M deal - basically all that Carolina could ask for out of an LD3 they signed in September. Savard has term, gets paid $3.5M, and has been sub-replacement level - why are the Hurricanes adding a 1st to this deal for a player they don't need and who is actively worse than the guy they're trading away?
-Craig Anderson is somehow rocking a .923 SV% with a 2.61 GAA; UPL is at .892 and 3.47. Jake Allen is at .894 and 3.52. Tell me why Buffalo is giving up asset for him?

This feels almost too obvious
34 goals and 65 points next to Kaprizov last year while making only $1.7M.
Why the f**k would you trade Hartman?
Until Rossi is consistently putting up points he should be nowhere near the top line. Get him off the 4th line and next to Boldy, sure. But it is waaaay too early to play him with Kaprizov.
Furthermore, Hartman is actually better suited to the top line because he not only has the skill to keep up but provides that line with some grit and snarl.
So again, why are you trading Hartman?

Take that deal and run. Even if they're later picks, that's an insane value for 1 year of Dumba.

Wow another Kerfoot to Minny, how creative and out of the box.
I do not know for how long Wild fan's have been saying no thanks, but Leaf fan's keep beating that drum. Minny is cap strapped also but they are going to do this why?

Kerfoot is the most logical trade. But out of playoff teams with cap have choices of "cap dumps" and certainly won't be giving up picks to acquire him. His M NTC is also a factor.
